86th Women’s Amateur Championship

Event Overview
Registration Opens: March 28 at 9 a.m.
Registration Closes: July 18 at 11:59 p.m.
Registration Fee: $180 per player (includes range fees, lunches and prizes)
Format: 54 holes of stroke play qualifying for the Amateur Championship. (August 1-3, 18-holes each day). 36 holes of stroke play for the Mid-Amateur, Senior and Super-Senior Amateur Championship. (Aug.1-2, 18 holes each day)
Eligibility: Open to amateur golfers who are (1) female at birth, (2) are members of PAGA Member Clubs or a PAGA Individual Member who resides in the State of Pennsylvania, (3) have a USGA Handicap Index of no more than 32.0.
Divisions: Amateur Division (any age), Mid-Amateur Division (at least 25 years of age), Senior Division (50-64 years of age) & Super-Senior Division (65 years or older). Players must make their selection of a division at the time of registration. Each division will have a separate set of tees.
Field: Limited to 112 total entries. (48 Amateurs/Mid-Amateurs, 48 Seniors, 16 Super-Seniors)
Yardages: All yardages listed below are approximate and exact yardages won’t be released until the day of the event.
Amateur: 6,200 yards
Mid-Amateur: 5,800 yards
Senior: 5,500 yards
Super-Senior: 5,100 yards
Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is permitted. Players may walk and carry their bag or have their bag carried via a caddie.
Food & Beverage: A lunch buffet will be provided each day of competition from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.
Practice Rounds: Lancaster Country Club will allow practice rounds for $175 including a golf cart. Players can begin to schedule their practice rounds as of July 8th by contacting the golf shop at (717) 393-4064.
Local players are limited to scheduling their practice rounds July 18 - 22 and July 25 - 29 anytime after 2:00pm.
Players from out of town will have times reserved for them on Sunday, July 31st for practice rounds after 2:00pm.
Pairings: Players will be in threesomes in 10-minute intervals. First-round results will determine second-round pairings. Championship players will play first in the second round, while Mid-Amateur, Senior and Super- Senior players will play in the afternoon.
Start Times: The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry form, will determine pairings and tee times.
Ties: In the event of a tie for any of the divisions, there will be a sudden-death playoff immediately following play. All other ties will be broken via the USGA Scorecard Tiebreaker Method.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each division.
Weather: Should weather delay play beyond the end of day Tuesday, Aug. 2, the competition will not be extended and the championship will be shortened to 18 holes.
