PRACTICE ROUNDS

Del Monte will extend the "Duke's Card" rate of $48 weekday or $62 weekend. (Carts are $20 extra.) Simplify identify yourself as a tournament player to get that rate between now and the tournament. You may contact the golf shop at 831.373.2700 to make a tee time.

 

PRE-ROUND WARMUP / PRACTICE RANGE

Del Monte does not have a range. But the nearby Monterey Pines Golf Course has one and is a popular pre-round stop for Christmas Classic players. They show an opening time of 7:00 pm -- Their website is HERE and I suggest contacting them if you plan to go early to warm up. Another option is Bayonet Black Horse which for many of you will be on the way to Del Monte. Of course, you'll want to allow for extra time.

 

TEES

The Championship and senior divisions will play the Blue Tees, while the Net division tees will be White for Men and Green for women.

 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

The restaurant is still closed for regular dining, but we will have a beverage cart with lunch items and provide each player with a $20 card that can be used towards beverage cart items.

 

SCORING

All scoring will be electronic using Golf Genius. I encourage you to download the app if you don't have it already. Each group will be given a unique GGID to use when entering scores and we will verify from a safe distance at the scoring table after the round.

 

CADDIES/CARTS

Carts are optional, at the player's expense. Please allow extra time if you are walking and you tee off on the 10th hole -- it is about a ten-minute (brisk) walk from the clubhouse. You may take a caddie to either carry your bag and walk, or drive the cart. We do not allow spectator or extra caddie carts, (maximum two carts per group) and we have a strict rule against riding on the back of carts for safety reasons. Please plan accordingly. The course is very walkable.

 

LODGING

The Hyatt Regency Monterey is right on the golf course, and always a good option. The Hilton Garden Inn is next closest, less than a half mile away.
