Hole-in-One Pot

OFWW members are eligible to participate in a Hole in One (HIO) Pot.  Cost to participate is $5.  Pot proceeds are paid out to any hole-in-one made during a ‘full field’ event, i.e., a Play Day or Bash (including Lad & Lassies), where all members are eligible to play. Not included are events like the Volunteer Tournament or Interclub matches, which are not open to all OFWW members.  Members making a hole-in-one and his playing partners who witnessed the HIO should notify the Pro Shop (Tim.Lovell@invitedclubs.com) and Jack Alexander (Jalexand76@aol.com) of HIO at end of play. If member desires a photo to be included in announcement, they should send a photo to the Communications / Membership Director.

If more than one member who is in the Pot before the start of play that day gets a hole-in-one on the same day, the pot is split evenly. Once awarded, a new pot will be started immediately.  HIO awards will be announced in the OFWW Monthly Newsletter and posted on the OFWW Golf Genius Portal.

To participate in the HIO Pot or remove your eligibility use the form on the HIO Page on the OFWW GG Portal using the link below.

A current roster of active participants is maintained on the HIO page.

When an active HIO participant makes a Hole in One in a “full field” OFWW event, monies in the Hole-In-One pot will be issued to that member’s Club Credit account at the end of the month.  Active HIO participants will be billed $5.00 at the end of the month for each HIO made during the month.  All existing participants will remain on the eligibility list unless they chose to remove their eligibility.

In addition to the Hole-in-One Pot, any OFWW member who makes a hole-in-one on a Play Day or Bash will be paid $10  out of OFWW general funds as specified in the OFWW By-Laws.   He does not have to be in the Hole-in-One Pot.
