B.C. Golf Dress Code Policy

 

The purpose of the Dress Code policy is to ensure reasonable and appropriate standards are maintained at all B.C. Golf competitions. All B.C. Golf competitors and caddies must adhere to the B.C. Golf Dress Code policy anytime the competitor or caddie is on host facility property.

 

The B.C. Golf Dress Code policy is in effect at all B.C. Golf competitions in conjunction with any additional dress code restrictions of the host facility.

The Tournament Committee will review questionable attire. Competitors in violation of the Dress Code policy will not be allowed to tee off; or, if the violation is discovered once play has begun, the competitor or caddie must rectify immediately without undue delay.

 

Permitted Attire:

 

• Men are required to wear golf shirts with collars (mock necks and turtle necks are permitted). Shorts may be worn, but they cannot be rugger or cargo shorts (outside external pocket).

• Women are permitted to wear pants, slacks, shorts, skorts, capris and dresses. Mock style, v-neck and sleeveless shirts are permitted. Tops may be worn untucked. Bare midriff or cleavage is not acceptable.

• Hats or visors must be worn in a forward position.

Attire Not Permitted:

• Denim or jeans of any kind or color, cut-offs, tennis shorts, rugger/cargo pants or shorts (outside external pocket), tank tops, halter tops, mesh shirts, workout attire, or t-shirts.

• Hats or visors in the clubhouse, unless permitted by the host club.

• Sandals of any kind; including sandals with soft spikes.

• If the host facility has additional restrictions, it will be communicated to, and followed by, all players.

• Any other inappropriate attire determined by the Tournament Committee.

Footwear

 

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e. ceramic, plastic etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the competition rounds, including the official practice round(s).

 

Note: Penalty for breach of this condition is Disqualification.

 

Caddies: Smooth rubber sole shoes are required (i.e. running shoes). Sandals, open toe shoes, and golf shoes with traditional metal or soft spikes are prohibited.

 

Note: Violation of this condition may result in the withdrawal of the player’s entry.
