**ABMC Conditions of Play**

•Immovable obstructions (Rule #16): Concrete drainage ditches on Holes #2 North, and Hole #10 South, and the tree well on #14 South, should be considered immovable obstructions, and relief may be taken. Also, in the general area, sprinkler heads, irrigation boxes, pump and electrical stations are immovable obstructions and relief may be taken. Around the green, sprinkler heads are considered immovable obstructions and relief may be taken if the sprinkler head is within two club lengths of the green and the ball is within two club lengths of the sprinkler head. In taking relief, the ball must be marked and dropped within a one club length relief area no closer to the hole.

•No play zones: The flower bed on #3 South, and all sod farms are considered no play zones. Relief, as described in Rule #2.4 must be taken.

•Abnormal ground conditions: Rule 16 describes proper explanation and relief of abnormal ground conditions. ABGC is responsible for marking the golf course. For the ABMC Blitz and Tournament competitions, until further notice, complete relief from marked or unmarked abnormal ground conditions, or GUR, such as bare areas, irrigation repair spots, through the green, will be allowed on the South Course. For the North Course, any relief taken under Rule 16 will be allowed only in the fairway.

•Penalty Areas and Hazards: Penalty areas are marked in either Red or Yellow. When your ball lies in a Penalty area, you can play it as it lies or take relief outside the Penalty area for one penalty stroke. For either Red or Yellow Penalty areas, you can play from where your last stroke was made(stroke and distance) or take back-on-the-line relief by going back as far as you'd like on the line between the hole and where your ball last crossed the edge of the Penalty area. In a Red Penalty area, you have one additional relief option, which is take lateral relief within two club-lengths of where your ball crossed into the Penalty area. Bunker ruling has not changed. For more detailed rules for Bunkers see rules 12.1, 12.2 and 12.3.

•Winter rules: In an effort to protect the course, all ABGC course recommendations regarding frost delays, cart-path only, 90 degree rules, and cart position restrictions must be adhered to.

•Power lines: Any ball striking the power line above Hole #8 North, the electrical tower adjacent to #10 North, and the guide wire on #18 South must be replayed.

•Alternative stroke and distance for lost or out of bounds balls, as described in Model Local Rule E5 of the Official Guide to the Rules of Golf, will not be allowed during ABMC sponsored events.

•Code of Conduct: All ABMC members must follow all COVID-19 rules established by CNRSW, be respectful of colors, adhere to appropriate dress code, and be respectful of fellow competitors and the ABGC staff.

•As described in Rule #4.3a(1), only GPS systems which measure distance or direction are allowed during ABMC Tournaments.
