Overview
The Astor Salver is a Ladies World Amateur Golf Ranking, 36 Hole, Scratch Competition which will be played on Wednesday 1st June 2022.
Entries will open on Monday 3rd January 2022.
The closing date for entries will be midday on Tuesday 17th May 2022.
Any entries made after this date will not be accepted.
Entry Fee
The entrance fee is £70. Any entries cancelled within 72 hours of the first round will not be refunded.
Format of Play
36 Hole Medal. Competitors play two qualifying rounds, one on The Blue Course and one on The Red Course.
Entry Requirements
The Astor Salver is open to female gender players who meet the following conditions:
- are a member of a golf club affiliated to a National Golfing Association.
- within the World Amateur Golf Rankings listing top 1 - 2000 on Tuesday 17th May 2022, or
- hold a World Handicap Index of no more than 6.4 upon entry, issued by an authorised Handicapping body.
The Astor Salver - Prizes
Presented since 1951 The Astor Salver winner will be the competitor returning the lowest scratch score over 36 holes. In the eventuality two or more players are tied after 36 holes they share the trophy; there is no playoff. A prize will be awarded to the Winner and Runner-Up. The leading six players will receive prize vouchers redeemable in professional golf shops only.
WAGR
The Astor Salver will be combined with the Critchley Salver at Sunningdale on Tuesday 24th May 2022 to create the Critchley Astor Salver. The combined totals over 72 holes will qualify for the purposes of WAGR points.
