Note re Temp Holes at Arrowtown GC
Today, we've been notified by Arrowtown GC (our first round course) that holes 6 and 7 will be out of play, due to some immediate works being done on the property next door. As a result there will be a slight reconfiguration over 3 holes, with two temporary greens in play. This is, of course, a bit of a bummer for us all, and is completely out of our control. It was a last-minute notification from the neighbouring property developers, and it comes at a really bad time for all golfers (like us) visiting the area.
To compensate for this late notice and inconvenience, we have secured a slight discount from the course (final arrangement TBD, but in the neighbourhood of NZ$30pp), which we will arrange to pass on to each of you. We could, for example, put it towards drinks during our welcome dinner, or via direct refunds, or some other arrangement. We will discuss this with you once we get the refund from the club. We apologise for this, but we are still optimistic that you will enjoy the course immensely!

MOBILE DATA AND ROAMING
Just to let you know that if you are a Telstra customer, you can pay to get an International Day Pass for $5/day in New Zealand. It covers all your calls, and a bit of data. You only get charged for a day if you use it. It can be activated under International Roaming in the MyTelstra App, or through your online account.
MANUAL SCORING
Since not everyone will have access to phone service in NZ, and with the chance that mobile reception will be sketchy in some areas, we have decided to use good-old-fashioned manual scorecards each day for scoring. You will need to score for your partner, and then check and sign the cards after each round, before submitting to us.
Once we are back at the hotel, we will then manually upload the scores into Golf Genius, and update the Live Leaderboard each night for your viewing pleasure.
Nov 1 - BUS TRANSFERS AT AIRPORT
Bus transfers from the airport to our hotel on Sunday 6th November.
I am expecting we have Susan, Brenda, Cheryl, Cheryl, Jenny, Kerrie, Jane and Gayle plus SGA staff Richard and myself. So 10 in total.
Please let me know if I have this wrong.
I believe everyone is either on the Qantas flight or the Virgin flight.
Qantas arrives 13:15 (1:15pm) and Virgin arrives 13:35 (1:35pm). Richard and I are on the Virgin flight so we will be in the later arrival.
So please wait near the luggage pick up area with your luggage. Richard and I will meet you there and once we have everyone ready, I will call Stephen to pick us up.
Bus location will be in the blue Shuttle section (33) of the attached map. Walk straight ahead from the exit past the taxis and then a slight left to find the Shuttle pick up area.
