Conditions of Play
1. ENTRIES

- Entry fee of SR 500 per entrant for SAGA Members, and SR 750 per entrant for non-SAGA Members. Deadline for receipt of application is November 16th, 2021. Entry fees shall be due upon notification that application has been accepted.

- The field size will be determined based upon the number of applicants responding to this invitation and in accordance with RHGC’s goal of securing participation from a wide number of different golf clubs in the region. Applicants are advised that the number of participants accepted per golf club may be limited based on the overall response. Applicants must provide a club certified handicap at the time of registration. Should an accepted entrant withdraw, alternates will be immediately notified. Entry fees will be refunded at the earliest opportunity to alternates who cannot be accommodated in the tournament.

- The SAIT Tournament Committee (“Committee”) reserves the right to limit and/or restrict the number of entrants from any one golf club, federation or society. These limitations will be communicated to the respective club representative after the deadline of November 16, 2021.
2. QUALIFICATIONS
2.1 Open to professional and amateur golfers who are current members of a golf club, federation or society, as determined by the Committee.
2.2 A valid handicap certificate and/or letter from club officer or authorized representative must be submitted to the Committee during registration. Clubs may submit a composite listing of handicaps for multiple entrants. Players with a WHS Handicap Index of 8.2 (Playing Handicap of 10) and below will be competing in the Championship Competition exclusively. Players with a WHS Handicap Index of 8.3 (Playing Handicap of 11) and above will compete in the Plate Competition. A player with a WHS Handicap Index of 8.3 (Playing Handicap of 11) or above may opt to play in the Championship competition at the time of registration however, such player will compete for the Championship Competition exclusively. Players MUST play off their current handicap on the day of the competition. Current handicaps must be presented to the Committee at time of registration.
3. RULES
- Play will be conducted according to the rules of the USGA, the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the Saudi Aramco Golf Association (SAGA) Sec IV, and Rolling Hills Golf Club Local Rules.
- Local Rule 7 (Alternative to Stroke and Distance for Lost Ball or Ball out of Bounds (E-5)) does not apply.
- Local Temporary Rule 3 (Foam Hole Insert: During casual golf, when a ball bounces out from the hole due to foam (or other material) insert please use your best judgement along with your fellow playing partners to determine if the ball would have holed out more than 50% of the time if there was no insert.) does not apply.
4. PLAY
- Stroke Play over 36 holes on Friday October 30th and Saturday October 31st, 2020.
- First day ties at the last position will be based on published count-back rules. In the Championship competition, gross scores for both days will be totaled to determine the winner. In the Plate competition, gross scores for both days will be totaled to determine the winner
- Assigned tee-times for Saturday’s Championship and Plate Competitions will be first from highest gross score to lowest gross score.
- All competitors can ride in a cart or walk, either carrying their bag or pulling clubs in a trolley. Players who wish to use caddies are permitted to do so but are responsible for arranging them. Players must ensure that their caddies adhere to golf etiquette and customary golf club dress codes.
5. DECISIONS
The decisions of the Committee on all matters of competition play shall be final.
6. DRAW
The draw for the first round will be made by lot, except where possible, visitors will be paired with an RHGC Member. The draw will be posted at the Rolling Hills Golf Clubhouse on Thursday, October 29th, 2020.
7. STARTING
Players shall report to the registration table 30 minutes before their assigned tee-time. Players are requested to present themselves to the Starter 10 minutes before the start of play. Order of play will be governed by the Draw. The player must start at time designated by the Committee. Penalties may be imposed for violation of this rule, including disqualification.
8. PRACTICE
All competitors may practice on the course on Thursday, November 29th, 2020. In accordance with the rules of golf, no practice will be permitted on the competition course during the Tournament days of October 30th and 31st. The driving range will be available free of charge to all competitors throughout the Tournament.
9. TIES
- Players tied for first place in the Championship competition only will participate in a sudden death play-off starting at the 18th hole. Play will alternate between holes 18 and 9 until there is a winner.
- Other ties will be decided by count back under USGA Rule 33-6, Stroke Play.
10. PRIZES
The 55th Saudi Aramco Invitational Tournament Champion will be the person returning the lowest gross score over 36 holes.
Championship Competition:
36-Hole: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Place Gross
Plate Competition:
36-Hole: 1st Place Low Gross, 1st Place Low Net, 2nd Place Gross, 3rd Place Gross and 4th Place Gross.
Skill Prizes:
Day 1 & 2: Longest Drive and Closest to Pin. Holes will be announced.
Note: A maximum playing handicap allowance of 15 will be applied for the purposes of determining the 1st Place Low Net Winner in the Plate Competition.
11. MEALS
Breakfast and lunch for the competitors on the 19th and 20th of November are included in the entry fees.
