Due to 2019 Rules of Golf changes, CGA staff will not be giving a Rules of Golf presentation during Rules Officials Training. Instead, there will be a brief discussion of CGA policies and Rules officials best practices followed by an open discussion of submitted Rules inquiries. A beginner Rules of Golf seminar designed for new officials will be given in the afternoon. This seminar will cover basic Rules for new officials or officials who would like a basic Rules of Golf refresher. Golf will be available at Pinewild Country Club (Holly) in Pinehurst, NC for those not attending the beginner Rules seminar. Golf will be a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m. and the cost will be $35/person.

 

Officials should email Maggie Watts  with any and all Rules inquiries, interesting Rules situations, comments, etc. that would be relevant for discussion during this meeting. (Submissions may or may not be included in discussion).

8:15 a.m. - Welcome and Introductions

9:00 a.m. - Brief discussion of CGA policies and Rules officials best practices

10:00 a.m. - Discussion of submitted Rules inquiries

10:45 a.m. - Boxed lunches available, dismissal

11:30 a.m. - Beginner Rules of Golf Seminar begins at Pine Needles (for new officials)

12:00 p.m. - Shotgun start at Pinewild Country Club (Holly) - $35/person
