77th Four-Ball Championship

Monday, August 6th, 2018 at The Kahkwa Club in Erie, PA

The competition is 36 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. The ball scored must be individually identifiable by the player who scored his ball for each hole when signing and returning your scorecard. The field consists of 36 teams. All teams will play from the Blue WPGA Tee Markers.

 

Practice: Practice rounds can be scheduled by contacting the golf shop at 814-838-1901. Tee Times are available between 2PM-4PM on Sunday, August 6th. The Director of Golf is Michael O'Connor and The Head Golf Professional is Sean Coleman. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. Practice rounds will be $50 for walking and an additional $27 if you choose to ride.

 

Tee Markers: Play will be from the BLUE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,550 Yards). Yardages will be contingent on course conditions.

 

Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is permitted for the competition and included in the entry fee. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. The Kahkwa Club does offer caddies and they must be arranged in advance by contacting the golf shop at 814-838-1901. Caddies will not be available on site the morning of the competition.

 

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Erie area. You may also create an account with Affinity Travel Benefits here and find lodging close to the tournament site on the Association Tournaments tab.

 

Food: The WPGA provides water on course, coffee & juices prior to the competition and lunch will be provided between rounds. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

 

Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and ten minutes (4:10). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

 

Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines. ADA carts are based on availability. Spectators may purchase lunches at their own expense. Directions to the club can be found on the The Kahkwa Club website.
