25th WPGA Spring Stroke Play Championship
Monday, April 30, 2018 at Bedford Springs Resort in Bedford, PA
The competition is 36 holes of stroke play with a field of 74 players. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.
Practice: Practice rounds should be scheduled online by accessing this LINK. When booking online enter promo code WPGASSP18. The practice round fee is $75.
Tee Markers: All play is from the BLUE WPGA tee markers. The course will play roughly 6,700 yards depending on course conditions. The starting tees for rounds one and two will be hole #1 and hole #11. Players will begin both round one and round two on same starting tee.
Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is permitted for the competition and included in the entry fee. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Two carts per group will be permitted for threesomes and one cart per twosome. Bedford Springs does not offer caddies.
Lodging On-Site: Bedford Springs is offering a competitor lodging rate of $191 including resort fees for the evening of Sunday, April 29 and Monday, April 30. Book by phone, dial 1-888-444-OMNI and speak with a reservations agent. Participants should reference ‘WPGA Spring Stroke Play’ (dates of April 29 and 30, 2018). Competitor rates will be valid until the date of the championship, based on availability. Contestants are encouraged to make arrangements as soon as possible in order to ensure availability.
Food: The WPGA provides water on course, coffee & juices prior to the competition and lunch will be provided after the competition of round 1. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.
Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.
Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and fifteen minutes (4:15). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.
Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines. ADA carts are based on availability. Spectators may purchase lunches at their own expense. Directions to the club can be found on the Bedford Springs Resort website.
