Local Rules
- USGA Rules govern all play.
- The Ball is to be PLAYED DOWN (as it lies).
- Rule 20: In the event of a rules question (that cannot be settled by opponents in match play), the player may complete the hole with two balls from the location in question. That player must: 1) Declare to their playing partners which ball they intend to have count as their score and 2) Report the situation to the Rules official immediately after play even if the two balls resulted in the same score for a determination of the rule.
- Out of Bounds where applicable is defined by white stakes, the inside edge of all paved areas, the perimeters of the pool, tennis, clubhouse & pro shop areas to include adjoining beds & inside edge of rock walls on #4, 6, 13 & 15. With the construction of the Clubhouse area, some locations of the physical markings have changed. In the event of a question regarding a ball that is in or out near this area, do not hesitate to employ Rule 20 (above).
- Abnormal Course Conditions Rule 16 allows for free relief from interference by animal holes, ground under repair, immovable obstructions or temporary water. Relief is allowed if your ball touches or is in an abnormal course condition, interferes with area of intended stance or swing. Only when your ball is on the putting green can an abnormal course condition on or off the green intervene with your line of play. No relief is permitted when abnormal course condition is out of bounds or in a penalty area.
- Ornamental flower beds within the boundaries of the course (see definition of O.B.) such as the rhododendron left of #6, shall be played as mandatory relief of nearest relief plus one club length. The ball is to be properly dropped.
- Loose Impediments Rule 15 allows removal of loose impediments without penalty anywhere on or off the course by using your hand, foot, club or any other player equipment.
- Paths are immovable obstructions and are defined by pavement or gravel. Extensions (connected worn areas) of these paths are also deemed immovable obstructions. Free relief is permitted off of these areas (nearest relief, no closer, plus one club length).
-
- The Maintenance Path left on #3 is an obstruction and may be treated as free relief. It must be agreed upon by opponents to permit such relief, otherwise Rule 20 is to be employed.
- Bridges on #4 and their extensions are paths permit a player free relief from these obstructions. Only a ball that is touching any part of this area may be considered on the obstruction. This includes relief for a ball that is on or under these bridges.
- The Bridge walking from #11 tee box is to be considered part of the penalty area and is marked as such for play of Holes #1, 10 or 11.
