Verde River Men’s Member/Guest Invitational

The influx of settlers to the Verde River area was not unopposed. The Tonto Apache and Yavapai took great exception to the newcomers. Protecting the settlers fell on the shoulders of Colonel George Stoneman. To ensure his men could meet their responsibility, he established uthe Stoneman Military Road linking Ft. McDowell on the Verde River with Fort Whipple in Prescott. Sections of the road ran just past the front gate of Verde River Golf & Social Club. The tournament is our way of honoring the commitment to duty displayed by Col. Stoneman and his men.

Thursday, March 24th - Practice Round

1:00 p.m.  Shotgun Start - Optional $20 Cash Team Skins Game

5:30 p.m. Heavy Hors d'oeuvres - Mazatzal Lawn (Event Center)

5:30 p.m. Aces Only Putting Contest ($10 Cash per team - no limit to number of tries)

5:30 p.m. Footjoy Tee Gift - Your choice from a selection of Footjoy Shoes

 

 

Friday, March 25th - Round 1

 

7:30 a.m. Breakfast (Event Center)

9:00 a.m. Round 1 - Better Ball of Partners

1:30 p.m. Lunch (Event Center)

3:00 p.m. Optional Horserace ($20 Cash Buy in Per Team)

 

 

Saturday, March 26th - Round 2

 

8:30 a.m. Breakfast (Event Center)

10:00 a.m. Round 2 - Better Ball of Partners

3:00 p.m. Flight Winners Shootout to decide The Stoneman Overall Champion

5:00 p.m. Dinner Reception and Awards Ceremony
