2018 U.S. Senior Open Qualifying

 

 

 

 

 

*Practice Round Information: Please do not call the golf shop to set up a practice round, all starting times for practice rounds must be made via email to The Broadmoor's Director of Golf, Russ Miller. Please email him directly at rmiller@broadmoor.com.

 

Practice rounds are for participants only. Caddies and/or friends may not play in a practice round.

 

Practice rounds will only be made available on Sunday, May 27th from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. for a fee of $40, this includes golf cart and driving range access.

Format: 18 holes of stroke play

Distance Measuring Devices: Distance measuring devices of any kind are prohibited in all U.S. Senior Open qualifiers

 

Walking Only Event: The U.S. Senior Open and its qualifiers are walking only events, players may carry their bag or have a caddie. Players may not ride in a motorized cart.

 

Push Carts: Push carts are not permitted at The Broadmoor. Players must either carry their bag or use a caddie.

 

Caddies: To reserve an Evans Scholar caddie, please contact Russ Miller directly rmiller@broadmoor.com.

 

Parking: *UPDATED* - Players and media will need to park at the Pauline School located across the street from the West Hotel at 1602 Mesa Avenue COS 80906. Please see the map in the links above for further details.

Driving Range: The driving range will be made available by 6:30 a.m. at no additional charge to the player.

 

Shorts: Players and caddies may wear golf appropriate shorts.

Breakfast: Food will be available for purchase at the option of the player in the main hotel. Full breakfast menu or grab and go selections are available.

 

Official in Charge: An official in charge cannot set-up a golf course or officiate Rules if that person is also a participant at the qualifying site.

 

One Ball Rule: Optional Condition as prescribed in Appendix I is in effect.

 

Clubs: In Sectional qualifying and in the Championship proper, the player’s clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010.

 

Footwear: It is a condition at all qualifying sites unless otherwise indicated by an asterisk on this entry application that shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round. Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification

 

Starting Times: 8:00 a.m. from holes #1 and #10.

 

Entry Fee: $200.00

 

Age Limit: Participants must be 50 on or before June 28, 2018.

 

Handicap Index Limit: 3.4

 

Score Posting: The CGA will post tournament scores for all Amateur players.
