Eligibility Criteria:

  • Amateur women golfers.
  • Must have a RDGA/USGA Handicap Index of 15.0 or less.
  • This is a scratch event.  If you wish to play in the Net tournament within
    this event please register for the Women's Open.

Being presented to Dianne Wilde of Rochester, who is currently the longest active female PGA Professional in the country. She has taught thousands of area golfers over her career and worked tirelessly to grow the game of golf for men and women in the Rochester Golf Community.

Announcement From Izzo Golf:

Izzo Golf, our newest RDGA Partner, will be a part of the RDGA Women's Open this year. At the Izzo player registration tent, they will be giving away complimentary Izzo golf towels, caps, or other accessories! There will also be a free raffle for a brand new SWAMI 5000 Golf GPS Unit, so make sure to sign up at the Izzo Tent.

 

Lastly, Izzo will be giving away two complimentary, custom embroidered golf bags to our Championship Winner and Open Overall Net Winner.

Event Format

 

Championship Division

  • Play Sunday will be from the RDGA Green Tees - (Approximately 5,550 Yards)
    • Play Monday will be played from the RDGA Green Tees - (Approximately 5,300 yards)
  • The format will be 36 holes (18 per day) stroke play.  
  • Lowest Gross Score over the 2 days will win the Championship Division.
  • Prizes will be awarded to approximately 1/3 of the Championship Division.  Prizes will be in the form of pro shop gift certificates.  Gift certificates will be good through 2019 season.
  • Tie for 1st place will result in sudden-death playoff.

 

**You are registering for the Championship Division of the Women's Open.  This Flight is a 36 hole, two-day event with first round Sunday and second round Monday alongside the Regular Flights of the Women's Open to a grand finale for all!

 

Schedule of Events

Sunday (Championship Division 1st round only)

  • 11:30am - Registration, lunch at snack bar and practice range available prior to round. 
  • 1:00pm - Tee times begin off #1 tee.  (All play off the RDGA Green Tees - Approximately 5,550 yards)
  • Following play scoring and hor's douevres will be help in Main Bar Room.

 

Monday (Championship Division Round 2 and Women's Open)

  • 11:30am - Registration, boxed lunches, and practice range are made available
  • 1:15pm - Play will be off 1&10 (Championship Division play will be off the RDGA Green Tees - Approximately 5,300 yards), Women's Open will play from the Ridgemont GOLD Tees.
  • 6:30pm - Awards ceremony, accompanied with an included dinner following the round.

 

Cart Policy

Carts for both rounds are mandatory for this event and is included in entry fee.

 

Practice Round

Practice rounds are available.  Players are asked to make their own tee by calling the Ridgemont Pro Shop directly (225-7650).  Players are asked to please try to do it during non prime time.  The price for the practice round is:

 

Week day: $40

Weekend: $60

Plus cart. 

Pairings

  • Tee times will be provided approximately a week before the event
  • Players will be paired randomly (Unless the RDGA office recieves special requests)

 

Range

The practice range will be open both days to players beginning at 11:30am and is included in the entry fee.

 

Food Services

Sunday (Championship Division)

 

  • Lunch provided from snack bar for all players prior to teeing off consisting of Hotdog or Hamburger, chips and a drink of choice, as well as turning snack and another drink of choice.  
  • Scoring and Hor's Douevres following play in Main Bar Room, consisting of Cheese and Crackers, Hummus, Veggies, Tortilla Chips and Salsa and Artichokes French.
  • Cash Bar available.

 

Monday (Regular and Championship Division)

  • Boxed lunches will be made available starting at 11:30am, consisting of turkey, ham or veggie wraps, chips fruit and bottle of water.
  • Dinner will be served in the clubhouse, following the completion of the round, and will be a special buffet consisting of Roast Chicken with sweet BBQ Dry Rub, Sliced Roast Sirloin of Beef with Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce, Orecchiette Pasta with Tomato-Basil Sauce, Roasted Red Potatoes, Sauteed Squash with charred grape tomatoes, lemonade, tea, coffee, and cake for dessert. 
  • Cash Bar will be available.
  • *Please make sure to call or email the RDGA staff if there are any dietary restrictions*

 

Score Posting

Competitor is responsible to post score.  Score Type: Tournament.

Refund Policy

Refunds of tournament entry fees will be made in accordance with the following rules:

  1. If the player withdraws BEFORE the registration deadline, he/she will be granted a refund of the full entry, minus the $10.00 credit card processing fee. (The refund will be credited back to the players card).

 

  1. If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER the registration closes, no refund will be granted.

 

RDGA Code of Conduct

The RDGA and its member clubs believe that participation in RDGA amateur events is a privilege that includes responsibilities.

 

Contestants must be amateurs and members in good standing at an RDGA club. They must adhere to all RDGA tournament requirements including Handicap Index, age, gender (for selected events), appropriate golf attire, mandatory use of riding carts at selected events, and local host club rules that apply to players during a competition.

 

USGA Rules will govern all play in RDGA events including Local Rules noted on the Notice to Players at each competition. All players should familiarize themselves with Section I.  Etiquette: Behavior on the Course in the current Rules of Golf book.
