  • Before your arrival we please ask that you download the free "USGA Tournament Management" app onto your mobile device.
  • Each foursome will recieve a "GGID" on their scorecard, giving you access to our new mobile scoring feature.
  • Each foursome will then designate one person to post the hole by hole scores for the entire group.

Special Announcement: Inaugural RDGA Leading The Way Award

Being presented to Dianne Wilde of Rochester, who is currently the longest active female PGA Professional in the country. She has taught thousands of area golfers over her career and worked tirelessly to grow the game of golf for men and women in the Rochester Golf Community.

Announcement From Izzo Golf:

Izzo Golf, our newest RDGA Partner, will be a part of the RDGA Women's Open this year. At the Izzo player registration tent, they will be giving away complimentary Izzo golf towels, caps, or other accessories! There will also be a free raffle for a brand new SWAMI 5000 Golf GPS Unit, so make sure to sign up at the Izzo Tent.

 

Lastly, Izzo will be giving away two complimentary, custom embroidered golf bags to our Championship Winner and Open Overall Net Winner.

Event Format

 

Regular Flights

  • All play will be from the Ridgemont GOLD Tees
  • The format will be 18 holes of stroke play at 100% handicap with flights determined by handicap spread of entries.
  • There will be an Overall Low Net Score Winner, and Net Score Flight Winners.   
  • Trophy awarded to tournament Overall Low Net Player.
  • Prizes will be awarded to approximately 1/3 of the field, evenly across flights.  Prizes will be in the form of pro shop gift certificates.  Gift certificates will be good through 2019 season.
  • Ties for first place will be broken up by USGA match of cards.
  • Caddies are not permitted.
     

**You are registering for the Regular Flights of the Women's Open which plays on Monday only.  There is also a 36 hole Championship Division of this Women's Open which will play a first round Sunday and the final round Monday along with the Regular Flights to a grand finish for all!

 

 

Schedule of Events
 

Sunday (Championship Division only - 1st round)

 

Monday (Regular and Championship Division)

  • 11:30am - Registration, boxed lunches, and practice range are made available
  • 1:15pm - Shotgun start - The Championship Division will off the RDGA Green Tees (Approximately 5,300 yards) and the Women's Open will be off the Ridgemont GOLD Tees. 
  • 6:30pm - Awards ceremony, accompanied with an included dinner following the round.

 

Practice Round 

Practice rounds are available.  Players are asked to make their own tee by calling the Ridgemont Pro Shop directly (225-7650).  Players are asked to please try to do it during non prime time.  The price for the practice round is:

 

Weekday: $40

Weekend: $60

Plus cart. 

 

Cart Policy

Carts are mandatory for this event and included in entry fee.

 

Pairings

  • Tee times will be provided approximately a week before the event
  • Players will be paired randomly by like ability levels.

 

Range

The practice range will be open both days to players beginning at 11:30am and is included in the entry fee.

 

Food Services

 

Monday (Regular and Championship Division)

  • Boxed lunches will be made available starting at 11:30am, choice of turkey, ham or veggie wraps, chips, fruit and bottle of water.   
  • Dinner will be served in the clubhouse, following the completion of the round, and will be a special buffet consisting of Roast Chicken with sweet BBQ Dry Rub, Sliced Roast Sirloin of Beef with Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce, Orecchiette Pasta with Tomato-Basil Sauce, Roasted Red Potatoes, Sauteed Squash with charred grape tomatoes, lemonade, tea, coffee, and cake for dessert. 
  • Cash Bar will be available.
    • *Please make sure to call or email the RDGA staff if there are any dietary restrictions*

 

Score Posting

Competitor is responsible to post score.  Score Type: Tournament.

Refund Policy

Refunds of tournament entry fees will be made in accordance with the following rules:

  1. If the player withdraws BEFORE the registration deadline, he/she will be granted a refund of the full entry, minus the $10.00 credit card processing fee. (The refund will be credited back to the players card).

 

  1. If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER the registration closes, no refund will be granted.

 

RDGA Code of Conduct

The RDGA and its member clubs believe that participation in RDGA amateur events is a privilege that includes responsibilities.

 

Contestants must be amateurs and members in good standing at an RDGA club. They must adhere to all RDGA tournament requirements including Handicap Index, age, gender (for selected events), appropriate golf attire, mandatory use of riding carts at selected events, and local host club rules that apply to players during a competition.

 

USGA Rules will govern all play in RDGA events including Local Rules noted on the Notice to Players at each competition. All players should familiarize themselves with Section I.  Etiquette: Behavior on the Course in the current Rules of Golf book.
