  • Male Amateur Golfers
  • Must be a member of an RDGA club.
  • Regular Men's Match Play (Any age)
  • Senior Men's Match Play (Age 55+)

  • Caddies and walking allowed if player prefers.
  • All prizes purchased through Stafford Country Club.
  • Match Play Finalists in both divisions will earn exemptions to the 2018 RDGA District Championship- John H. Ryan Memorial.

                                                                                              

 

Event Format

  • Players will be chosen based on the 2017 Men's Points Standings.
  • Match Play 32 player bracket.  (One for Men's and Senior Division)
  • Men's Match Play Bracket will be from the BLACK Tee - Approx. 6,591 yards.
  • Senior's Match Play Bracket will be from the BLUE Tee - Appox. 6,328 yards
  • ***2017 Top 24 Point Leaders Must Register by May 1 to secure a spot on the 2018 Match Play Championship***
    • After May 1, we will begin to go down the points list until 24 players are entered into each bracket

Round 1

  • Senior Division -  Tee Times (8:34am - 9:30am)

 

Round 2

  • Men's Division - Tee Times (12:30pm - 1:36pm)
  • Senior Division - Tee Times (1:44pm - Last Group)

 

Saturday, May 26th:

Quarter Finals

  • Men's Division - Tee Times (7:30am - 8:02am)
  • Senior Division - Tee Times (8:10am - 8:42am)

 

Semi Finals

  • Men's Division - Tee Times (12:30pm - 12:46pm)
  • Senior Division - Tee Times (12:54pm - 1:02pm)

 

Sunday, May 27th:

Championship Matches

  • Men's Division - 7:30am
  • Senior Division - 7:38 am

 

 

Cart Policy

Carts are encouraged but not mandatory. Cost of cart is included in entry fee.

 

Pairings

  • Tee times will be provided approximately a week before the event
  • Players will be paired based on seeding in their respected brackets
  • Tee times will begin at 7:30am each day and will be separated by 8 minute intervals

 

Range

The practice range will be open to all players beginning at 6:30am each day.

 

Food Services

  • Lunch is paid for all players each day.  Please only one lunch per player per day. 
  • *Caddies lunches are NOT included in entry fee and must be paid for separately.*

 

Practice Round

There is no formal practice round for this event. Those wishing to setup a practice round may call the pro shop.

 

Score Posting

This competition is a tournament and must be posted, see Section 5-1c  of the USGA Handicap System. 

When 13 holes are played an 18 hole score will be posted see Decisions 5-1a/3 through  5-1a/5, also see Section 4 and Decisions 5-1c/1, 5-2a/5, 5-2a/7 for one or more holes not completed. 

Participants are to post their own score.

Refund Policy

Refunds of tournament entry fees will be made in accordance with the following rules:

  1. If the player withdraws BEFORE the registration deadline, he/she will be granted a refund of the full entry, minus the $10.00 credit card processing fee. (The refund will be credited back to the players card).

 

  1. If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER the registration closes, no refund will be granted.

 

RDGA Code of Conduct

The RDGA and its member clubs believe that participation in RDGA amateur events is a privilege that includes responsibilities.

 

Contestants must be amateurs and members in good standing at an RDGA club. They must adhere to all RDGA tournament requirements including Handicap Index, age, gender (for selected events), appropriate golf attire, mandatory use of riding carts at selected events, and local host club rules that apply to players during a competition.

 

USGA Rules will govern all play in RDGA events including Local Rules noted on the Notice to Players at each competition. All players should familiarize themselves with Section I.  Etiquette: Behavior on the Course in the current Rules of Golf book.
