Score to record for holes that were not holed out:
When a player starts a hole but does not hole out for a valid reason the player must record their most likely score or net double bogey, whichever is lower.
Score to record for holes that were not started:
Where the minimum number of holes has been completed (7 for a 9-hole score and 14 for an 18-hole score) the player must record net par (par plus any handicap strokes allowed on the hole) for those holes.
General Information
Each team must supply two dates when they are available to play before each match deadline. All matches must be played by the cut-off date, there will be no exceptions for matches that are not played before the match deadline. In this case, both teams will be disqualified, if a tee time is booked and only one player shows up that player will move on to the next round. All matches must follow the prescribed playoff format. Update Tournament Brackets and Player Contact Information will be posted on the Kennedy Kup Portal.
Playoff Formats
Due to COVID-19 there will be no playoffs for any matches tied after 18 holes. Until further notice any matches that are tied after 18 holes will be decided by
- A Closest to the Pin on #1 on the Rattler. All four players hit. You must check with the golf shop before proceeding to the Rattler.
- Retrogression will be based on the team who won the most number of holes in the last 3 holes, if the match is still tied move to the last 6, then 9.
Darkness
If either player decides it is too dark to continue the match, the next hole in sequence will be a shoot-out from 150 yards for men. The closest to the pin will be declared the winner. Alternatively, both teams can agree to reschedule the match as long as they can finish it before the deadline.
Additional information
Players may play matches at courses other than RattleSnake Point GC as long as both players agree on the venue. In single matches all players will receive 90% of their handicap as per the RCGA Manual. Matches will be played off the lowest handicap; the lowest handicap in each match will be deemed to be a zero handicap. All players will receive their strokes based upon the difference between their handicaps and the lowest handicap.
Tees
Net matches allow players to compete against their fellow competitors from a different set of tees. Under the New World Handicap System all adjustments have been factored into determining the course handicap. Players will receive their strokes based upon the difference between their handicaps and the lowest handicap.
