FORMAT
Eighteen-hole Alternate Shot (players must declare prior to the round who is teeing off on the odd and even holes) with Ties for the gross trophy will be decided by an immediate hole-by-hole playoff beginning on the first hole. A player not present for a playoff must forfeit the playoff. Ties for the net prize will be decided by matching cards. The winner will be determined on the basis of the best net score for the last nine holes on the second day. If still tied, the winner will be determined on the basis of the best net score for the last six holes, the last three holes and finally the 18th hole. One-half, one-third, one-sixth and one-eighteenth of each player’s Course Handicap will be deducted to determine the best net score. If a tie is not broken by this procedure, a winner will be determined by blind draw.
Handicap Index calculated as of 10/12/2021 (one week prior to event).

LOCAL RULES
No Play Zones:
Entry into a No Play Zone (defined by red stakes with green tips) is strictly prohibited. Any ball that comes to rest in a NPZ shall be treated as lying in a penalty area.
Sanded Cart Paths:
All sanded cart paths are integral parts of the course.
Waste Bunkers:
Waste bunkers left or behind the 1st green (anything left of the rightmost walkway), right or behind the 6th green (including the inverted bunker), and left or behind the 12th green are considered immovable obstructions and free relief is given. Take the nearest point of full relief, plus one club-length, no closer to the hole.
Immovable Obstructions:
The road left of the 11th & 18th Holes and the portion of the road left of the 12th & 15th Holes that is not sanded are service roads and treated as immovable obstructions. All bricks and cobblestones are immovable obstructions.
Ground Under Repair:
Any area enclosed by a white line is considered Ground Under Repair. You may play the ball as it lies if you choose. The entire 8th fairway is lift, clean, and place, within one club-length, no closer to the hole.
Flower Beds:
Flower beds are Ground Under Repair from which free relief is mandatory, based one club-length from the nearest point of full relief, no closer to the hole. The trees and flower bed up against the building on the 7th hole constitute an area where free relief is given where the trees no longer interfere with the player’s swing.
Wires:
Balls striking telephone or electric wires must be replayed from the original spot.
Bunkers:
If a ball is in a footprint in a bunker, players may treat the footprint as ground under repair and drop one club-length from the footprint, still inside the bunker.
Ball Holed:
The Ball must remain in the hole to be considered holed.
New Penalty Area:
The wooded area to the left of the 12th fairway and to the left of the 17th green is now a Penalty Area. You may play the ball from this area should you find it. If you cannot find your golf ball, you may take relief under Rule 17.1
PACE OF PLAY
The maximum time allotted for the completion of 18 holes for foursomes at Inwood Country Club is 4 hours and 15 minutes. A visual color-coded system is utilized to indicate your Pace of Play status. See Pace of Play on Golf Genius for more information.
Final decisions on any disputed rulings will be made by the WMGA Competitions Committee.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONTINUANCE OF PLAY
Inwood Country Club has a lightning detection system. In the event of lightning near the golf course, we will follow ICC’s recommended procedures. Although bad weather is not of itself a good reason for discontinuing play, a player is permitted to discontinue play at any time she herself believes there is a danger from lightning. The WMGA strongly endorses each individual’s attention, vigilance, and care in this regard, to one’s own safety. When play is discontinued in a dangerous situation, players should seek the nearest point of shelter.
COVID-19 PROCEDURES (See attached)
Inwood Country Club requires all guests to adhere to and follow all government mandates and protocols to ensure social distancing. Any player violating such protocols will be asked to leave the tournament and premises. See attached COVID Procedures for more information.
