NOTICE TO PLAYERS

USGA RULES OF GOLF AND WMGA LOCAL RULES, CONDITIONS AND PACE OF PLAY GUIDELINES ARE IN EFFECT EXCEPT FOR THE FOLLOWING CLARIFICATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS:
Unless otherwise noted, the Penalty For Breach of A Local Rule or Condition is two strokes.
Players MUST read this Notice to Players (NTP) and COVID-19 Procedures document for specific instructions prior to the

competition.
NTP’s will NOT be distributed on the 1st tee. Players are encouraged to print the NTP at home if they want a physical copy.

 

GENERAL
Tee Times will start at 8:00 AM and will be in 8 minute intervals.
Check in will begin at 7:00 AM: PLAYERS SHOULD NOT ARRIVE AT COURSE UNTIL ONE HOUR BEFORE TEE TIME The ladies locker room will be open and available for use. Each player will have their own locker with a nameplate on it. Spectators are NOT allowed to attend. The Deepdale Pro Shop phone number is 516.365.9111.

 

PRACTICE FACILITIES

The Driving Range and Putting Green will be open at 7:00 AM

THE MAXIMUM YARDAGE YOU CAN HIT ON THE RANGE IS 220 YARDS.

 

RESTROOMS

There are no bathrooms on the course. The only bathrooms available for use are in the clubhouse and in the ladies locker room

 

FOOD SERVICE

Coffee, Tea, Grapefruit Juice, and Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice will be available before your round.
A luncheon buffet will start at 12:00 PM and will be available to players after their rounds or before if their tee time is after 12:00 PM.
THERE WILL BE WATER ON THE COURSE. The WMGA recommends that you also bring your own water.

 

DRESS CODE

Proper golf attire must be worn for this event.

 

CELL PHONE POLICY

Electronic communication devices MUST be turned off and put away during your round. Please limit cell phone use to emergencies only. In the clubhouse and at lunch, the use of cell phones is permitted.
EXCEPTION: When electronic communication devices are permitted on the golf course, players may use electronic communication devices in the case of an emergency or in accordance with Rule 4.3.

 

FORMAT

Eighteen hole Stroke Play format with a Handicap Allowance of 95% of Course Handicap. Handicap Index calculated as of 06/14/2021 (one week prior to event).
This is a Gross and Net competition. Scores will be posted to GHIN by the Committee.

 

CARTS

Carts are available at $37.50 a person if sharing with another rider. If you would like your own cart, the fee will be $75. You should’ve already responded whether you are riding or walking for this event. Please Bring a check for your cart fee made out to the WMGA. All walking and riding requests are final.

 

CADDIES

Caddies are REQUIRED to be taken for each player by the club. The caddie fee is $120 inclusive of tip whether you are riding or walking. The best way to pay the caddie is in cash.

         

TEE MARKERS

Players will use the WMGA Tees: 5,130 yards. Course Rating/Slope: 69.7/122. Par 70.

 

HANDICAPS

Players are responsible for ensuring that the correct COURSE handicap is on their scorecard, see Rule 3.3b(4). As a courtesy, the WMGA will print both the COURSE handicap and PLAYING handicap on the scorecard. Players may calculate their handicap by using the GHIN handicap calculator: www.ghin.com A chart will also be available at registration on the day of the event, showing a player’s HANDICAP INDEX, as of one week prior to the first day of play, their COURSE Handicap, and PLAYING Handicap. Your Handicap Index must be a 14.1 or above on June 14th to remain eligible for this tournament.

 

CANCELLATIONS

There will be no cancellation of play unless the course is deemed unplayable by the host club. If a player needs to withdraw from the tournament, please contact Brian Levy via cell phone (201-310-0947) or email, tournamentmanager@wmga.com.

 

LOCAL RULES
You are entitled to free relief from the maintenance barn.

There is no OB located anywhere.

The driving range is maxed at 220 yards. If you think your tee shot may be lost, please play a provisional

 

PACE OF PLAY

The maximum time allotted for the completion of 18 holes for twosomes at Deepdale Golf Club is 3 hours and 15 minutes. A visual color-coded system is utilized to indicate your Pace of Play status. Pace of play parameters will be included on your scorecard. .

Final decisions on any disputed rulings will be made by the WMGA Competitions Committee.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONTINUANCE OF PLAY

DeepdaleGolfClubhasalightningdetectionsystem. Intheeventoflightningnearthegolfcourse,wewillfollowDGC’s recommended procedures. One blast will signal players to discontinue play, and three blasts will signal players to resume play. Although bad weather is not by itself a good reason for discontinuing play, a player is permitted to discontinue play at any time she herself believes there is a danger from lightning. The WMGA strongly endorses each individual’s attention, vigilance, and care in this regard, to one’s own safety.

When play is discontinued in a dangerous situation, players should seek the nearest point of shelter.
