Terms of Competitions
All Women on the Tee (WOTT) Medal Strokeplay competitions will be open to members of Women on the Tee, each strokeplay competition will be a WHS qualifying competition, unless otherwise stated in the event registration, and will include both a Scratch & Handicap competition.
Rules of Golf
All Women on the Tee (WOTT) competitions shall be played in accordance with the R&A Rules of Golf and any Local Rules or Additional Local Rules introduced by the WOTT competition committee.
All competitions will be run by WOTT, to whom all disputes will be referred and whose decision is final.
COVID
All competitions will comply with government health and safety advice and regulations with respect to COVID.
Eligibility
All players must be members of Women on the Tee.
Women on the Tee have 4 competition categories:
- Senior Amateur Women 50 to 59
- Super Senior Amateur Women 60 and over
- Mid-Amateur Women Category 1 25 to 39 years
- Mid-Amateur Women Category 2 40 to 49 years
Players must be within their category age range on or before the date of the competition.
WOTT Medal Strokeplay Competitions will be WHS qualifying competitions and all players must ensure they have a valid WHS membership number and current Handicap Index.
Entry
- Entry to all WOTT competitions will be via the registration page on the competition website.
- Entry will remain open until 7 days prior to the competition.
- Entries will be allocated on a first come first served basis, for each category, the number of competition places will be on the competition website.
- Waiting lists will be in place for oversubscribed competitions, category tee times may be released to the other categories if not full.
- Entries fees will be confirmed on the competition website and registration form.
- Payment will be online, through the competition website, other payment options may be available, details will be on the competition website.
- Entry Fees will only be refunded if players confirm their withdrawal 7 days in advance of the competition, substitutes can be made up to 48 hours prior to the competition.
- Entry fees for withdrawal 0-6 days in advance of the competition will only be refunded if replacement players can be found.
- Exceptional withdrawal circumstances will be reviewed on an individual basis.
Handicap Limits
The WHS Handicap Index Limit for Women on the Tee STROKEPLAY competitions is 24.0.
WOTT tournament software will connect to the WHS database on the morning of the competition to ensure all players, have their most up to date WHS Handicap Index.
It is the responsibility of the player to ensure their competition entry has the correct WHS member number (old CDH number) on it. Failure to do so will result in disqualification, as players must play with their up-to-date Handicap Index.
WOTT Scratch Strokeplay Competition Format, Including Handicap Allowance
Each WOTT Strokeplay Competition will be
- Played on the date on the competition website.
- A ONE round 18 hole Scratch Medal Strokeplay competition.
- Played with a Handicap Allowance of 95%, in accordance with WHS qualifying regulations
- WOTT Strokeplay Competition Format, Including Handicap Allowance
- WOTT Strokeplay competitions shall be decided over 1 round of 18 holes strokeplay on the specified competition date. The players returning the lowest scores, GROSS and NET, in each competition category, will be the category winners.
The format of WOTT Strokeplay Competition will be
- A WHS Qualifying 18 hole Medal Strokeplay Competition
- Played with a Handicap Allowance of 95%, in accordance with WHS qualifying regulations
- Played from the RED Tees, using the Course Slope index and Handicap Tables to identify your correct course handicap.
- Played on the date and course specified on the competition website.
In the event of a tie for first place, in any category, a score count back will resolve any ties. The count back will be based on the lowest score (gross or net) for the last 9 holes (or 6, 3, or 1). If no decision is reached, a card play-off from hole 1 will apply.
Scorecards
- Electronic Scoring will apply to ALL WOTT competitions, to avoid handling or exchange of scorecards.
- Playing partners must agree each other’s scores prior to the scores being entered, either hole by hole during the round or at the end of the round.
- Score cards shall be considered returned when the player has entered the score and finalized their round in their electronic score card.
Registration
WOTT will email all entrants the evening before the competition with
- Electronic score cards, using the latest WHS Handicap Index.
- Tee Times, Pin positions, where available, and Local rules
Players will be automatically entered on the day of the competition.
Players must also register with the onsite competition team at least 20 minutes before their tee time.
Leaderboard
There will be a live leaderboard for all WOTT competitions, this will be available in the clubhouse and on the players competition app.
Inclement Weather or Exceptional Circumstances
If, in the opinion of the WOTT team, or the competition course manager, it becomes impossible to complete the competition in accordance with the Terms of the Competition, because of adverse weather or other unforeseen circumstances, WOTT reserves the right to amend the format of the competitions to the extent necessary to achieve the result with the time available.
Finalising WOTT Strokeplay Competition
The WOTT Strokeplay competition will be finalized when all players cards have been entered electronically and the competition finalized by the WOTT competition team.
The results will be been posted on the competition website and emailed to all players.
Prizes
There will be no prize giving on the day of the competition.
Winners will be announced after the competition is closed, via email and the competition website.
Policies and Procedures
The following policies apply to all WOTT competitions:
Pace of Play:
- play should be continuous and at an efficient pace between shots, players should be ready to play their shot and not distract other players in their group.
- Players should keep up with the group in front
Bad Weather and Suspension of Play (Rule 5.7b)
- Suspension of play for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged note of siren, where sirens in use by the course.
- All other suspensions will be signaled by 3 consecutive notes of the siren, where in use by the club.
- In either case, resumption of play will be signaled by 2 short notes of the siren.
Medical buggies are allowed, certificates to be sent to the competition committee at least 7 days before the competition date. Players must make their own arrangements with the club to book a buggy.
Images and filming at the competitions may take place for media coverage, promotional purposes or use on social media, these images may be accompanied by personal details such as full name and associated golf club.

Neither the host venue nor WOTT can be held responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage to equipment or personal possessions at competitions.
General Data Protection: Any personal contact information requested on entry forms will be used for running competitions and to contact you about future WOTT events.
