Event Overview

 

Entries Close:  August 16

 

Registration Fee: $490 per team (includes cart fees, range fees, lunches and prizes)

 

Format: 36-hole four-ball stroke play competition, two-day event.

 

Eligibility: Competitors are limited to playing in one division.

 

The Senior Four-Ball Championship is open to any male amateur golfer, 55 years of age and over as of Aug. 30, who is member of a club belonging to the Pennsylvania Golf Association or an individual member of the Pennsylvania Golf Association. Players need not be members of the same club.

 

The Super-Senior Four-Ball Championship is open to any male amateur golfer, 65 years of age and over as of Aug. 30, who is member of a club belonging to the Pennsylvania Golf Association or an individual member of the Pennsylvania Golf Association. Players need not be members of the same club.

 

Field: Limited to 72 teams. Selection of the field will be based on the 46 lowest combined indexes for the Senior Division and 26 lowest combined indexes in the Super-Senior Division

 

Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is permitted and Mandatory at the request of the host club. Two carts maximum per group.

 

Food & Beverage: Lunch will be provided each day of competition from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.

 

 

Practice Rounds: Will be available on August 17, 22, 24 & 29 after 12 p.m. Please contact the golf shop at 717-599-5162 no more than 14 days in advance. Carts are required.  Payment may be made via Cash, Credit Card or Reciprocal Club Charge.

Practice round fee:  $40

 

Pairings: Play will be in foursomes. First round results will determine second round pairings. 

 

Start Times: The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry form will determine pairings and tee times.

 

Ties: In the event of a tie for the Senior Four-Ball Championship, there will be a sudden-death playoff immediately following the conclusion of play in either Division. All other ties will be broken by matching scorecards in accordance with USGA guidelines.

 

Prizes: The team with the lowest gross score after 36-holes will be declared the Senior Four-Ball Champions. Additional prizes will be awarded.

Weather: Should weather delay play beyond the end of the day on Tuesday, August 31, the competition will not be extended and the championship will be shortened to 18-holes.
