Event Overview 

 

Entry Deadline: July 19

 

Registration Fee: $180.00 per player (includes range fees/lunches/prizes)

 

Format: 36-holes of individual stroke play, two-day event

 

Eligibility: Open to Member Club golfers and Individual Members of the Pennsylvania Golf Association who have a USGA Handicap Index of 10.4 or lower.

 

Divisions:  Senior Division (55-64 years of age) & Super-Senior Division (65 years of age and older). Super-Senior Division will play a forward tee approximately 6000 yards. Championship tee will be approx. 6600 yards.

 

Field: Limited to 144 entries.  32 spots will be reserved for the super-senior division.  At the entry deadline, after guaranteed spots, entries will be accepted based upon first-come-first-serve basis. Guaranteed spots are listed under exemptions.

 

Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is permitted. Players may walk and  carry or bring a caddie.  If taking a cart, please check in the golf shop to pay the $35 per day cart fee prior to your round.

 

Food & Beverage: Lunch will be provided each day of competition from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.

 

Practice Rounds: Will be permitted based on course availability.  Please contact the golf shop at 717-843-9303 no more than seven days in advance to schedule a tee time.  Carts are required.  Payment may be made via Credit Card.

Practice Round Fee:  $65 includes cart

 

Pairings: Play will be in threesomes at 10-minute intervals.  First round results will determine second round pairings.  Super-Senior Division entrants will play first on day two followed by the Senior Division. 

 

Start Times: The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry form will determine pairings and tee times.

 

Weather: Should weather delay play beyond the end of the day on Tuesday, Aug. 3, the competition will not be extended and the championship will be shortened to 18-holes.

 

Ties: Sudden-death playoff for Senior and Super-Senior immediately following the conclusion of play. All other ties will be broken by matching scorecards in accordance with USGA guidelines. 

 

Prizes: The individual with the lowest gross score after 36-holes will be declared the Senior and Super-Senior Amateur Champions, respectively.  Additional prizes will be awarded to the top 10 Seniors and top 5 Super-Seniors.

 

Prizes will also be awarded to the team (team members must be from the same club, same division) that posts the best two scores of three for the two rounds of the event.
