92nd New England Amateur Championship
Great River Golf Club | July 20 - 22, 2021
Practice Rounds: Practice Rounds will be available at Great River GC. Please read the information below before contacting the club regarding your practice round.
- Practice Rounds will be available between now and the Championship at the discretion and availability of the host club. Players who are able to are encouraged to complete their practice round prior to Monday, July 19th.
- Limited practice rounds will be available (after 3PM) on Monday, July 19th for competitors traveling to the Championship.
- Players must secure a practice round by calling the Great River GC Pro Shop – walk-up practice rounds will not be accepted. (203) 701-6920 x 105. Please introduce yourself as a qualified competitor in the field and give the staff member your name and home club.
- Players are limited to one discounted practice round, and the NEGA requests that each player plays one ball during their practice round.
- The cost of a practice round will be $65. If a player wishes to play more than once, they are welcome to do so subject to Great River GC availability and at the posted, non-member rate.
Schedule - Championship Proper:
Round 1 - July 20 (18 Holes)
Round 2 - July 21 (18 Holes)
***The low 60 scorers and ties after 36-holes will continue play on July 22
Round 3 - July 22 (18 Holes)
The lowest scorer for 54 holes will be Champion.
If a tie for first place occurs, play will immediately continue hole-by-hole until a winner is determined. If ties for other positions occur, duplicate merchandise certificates will be awarded.
Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Players may use caddies during play. A player is not required to employ a caddie for any round of the competition. Players shall not use automotive transportation during play.
Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will be available for use throughout the Championship. The driving range will close after the last starting time each day and will NOT be available for competitors upon the completion of their round. The putting green and short game areas are available at any time unless otherwise stated.
Food/Beverage: The NEGA will be providing a complimentary luncheon on July 20, 21, and 22 for all competitors.
Starting Times: Starting Times will begin at 7:30am each morning off the 1st & 10th tees. Starting Times & Pairings can be found by clicking the tab above.
Prizes: Winner will receive the Harry B. McCracken, Jr. Trophy, and merchandise certificate. Merchandise certificates are only redeemable at the host club.
Inclement Weather/Cancelled Round Stipulation: The NEGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein.
Restrictions: If the Championship course is declared unplayable and as a result it is not possible to complete the 54 holes of play in the period in which the Championship is scheduled, the Championship will not be extended beyond the last scheduled day and the winner shall be the individual who returns the lowest score for the number of stipulated rounds played. The Committee may institute a cut in order to play the last stipulated round.

Withdrawal/Refund Policy
Competitors, who have submitted an entry for an NEGA event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the NEGA office in writing (e-mail is acceptable and encouraged) or by phone. Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if the NEGA is notified in writing or by phone seven days prior to each event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven days prior to each event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event (Championship or Qualifier).
