FORMAT - SCHEDULE - GENERAL INFORMATION
The Mid-Amateur and Senior Championships will be conducted concurrently. Each championship will have a field of 60 players with a total field size between the two championships of 120 players. Upon close of entries, if one championship does not have 60 players registered AND the other championship has more than 60 players, additional spots above the 60 will be filled to complete the 120 player total.
54-holes of Stroke Play as follows:
Monday, April 19th: Round 1; 120 players
Tuesday, April 20th: Round 2; 120 players, field cut in each championship as prescribed below
Wednesday, April 21st: Final Round
Cut Procedure: The final cut for each championship will be made after the close of entries and will be determined by the final field size for each championship.
Course Setup:
The Mid-Amateur Championship will compete at approximately 5900-6300 yards, and the Senior Championship will compete at approximately 5600-5900 yards.
All information will be shared with players electronically. Hole location sheets will be available on the starting tee #1 & #10. Evacuation, should it be necessary, will return players to the Anthem Clubhouse. All players should bring their own PPE, hand sanitizer, etc.
Scoring will be located at the Golf Shop Veranda.
ELIGIBILITY
Mid-Amateur Championship
Entries are open to female amateur golfers who have reached 25 years of age on or before April 19, 2021 and whose handicap index does not exceed 10.4 under the World Handicap System at the time of entry acceptance.
Senior Championship
Entries are open to female amateur golfers who have reached 50 years of age on or before April 19, 2021 and whose handicap index does not exceed 10.4 under the World Handicap System at the time of entry acceptance.
All applicants, including foreign applicants, must meet all eligibility requirements of the USGA Gender Policy. Entries are subject to rejection at any time.
AWARDS
THE WILMA CUP will be presented to the Mid-Amateur Champion and the Senior Champion and will remain in their possession for one year. Medals will be presented to the runner-up and third place in each Championship.
The Championship Committee reserves the right to make adjustments to the prize allocation.
ENTRY PROCESS - ENTRIES OPEN FEBRUARY 3, 2021
All entries must be made online on the LNGA Website, after creating a Player Profile, including invitees, must be received by the Tournament Office staff by the entry deadline of 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Entries should be submitted early to allow ample time for delay or error in transmission. The risk of delay or error in transmission lies solely with the entrant and the LNGA will have no liability with respect to any such delay or error and the consequences there from, inducing rejection of the entry. Applicants will fall into one of two categories: Championship Exempt or Championship Non-Exempt. The Championship field will be finalized by Friday, March 19 at the latest. All applicants will be notified immediately of their status via email.
Entry Fee: $395 per player (Payment information will be collected upon receipt of entry but will not be processed until the application is accepted). Withdrawals after entries close up to and including April 19, 2021 will be issued a refund minus a $30 processing fee. Withdrawals after April 19, 2021 will not receive a refund except in cases of extenuating circumstances, which will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
All refunds are at the discretion of the Championship Committee.
Entry fee includes cart, one practice round, three days of competition and use of the practice facility. Additional practice rounds can be arranged with the Pro Shop at a cost of $144.
INVITATIONS - APPLICATION PROCESS

*Players meeting LNGA exemption criteria will be invited to compete.
*Players meeting the LNGA Handicap Index criteria and exemption criteria will be accepted upon receipt of completed application.
*Players meeting these criteria will be guaranteed acceptance unless more than 60 exempt players accept invitations to compete. If this occurs, players will be granted entry into the Championship based on their highest level of exemption status. (A1 precedes A2 and so forth)

*Players not meeting exemption criteria may formally apply via application.
*Players are encouraged to send a playing resume along with their application to ladiesnationalgolf@gmail.com. The resume, along with various rankings, will be used to determine the remaining players that are accepted.
*All decisions are at the discretion of the Championship Committee and all decisions are final.
Close of Entries
*Invitations and applications are received and then processed. The field is determined based on the number of exempt players and selecting the best non-exempt players to complete the 120-player field.
*All players not accepted into the Championship will be placed on a Wait List.
ON-SITE REGISTRATION
On-site Championship registration will take place Sunday, April 18, from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Registration will be located at Anthem Golf Club, Ironwood Course, Pro Shop Veranda. Each contestant MUST register in person. Please make every attempt to register prior to playing practice rounds.
**Failure to register without notification to the Tournament Office may result in the player forfeiting their spot in the event.**
PRACTICE ROUNDS - PRACTICE FACILITIES
The official practice round is Sunday, April 18. Details on practice rounds will be available following the application deadline. Contestants will be able to use the practice facilities at the Club on Saturday and Sunday. Please arrive no more than 60 minutes prior to scheduled tee times for practice.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS - FOOD
Players are responsible for finding and making their own accommodations.

AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION AND CADDIES
Automotive transportation is included in the entry fee and the course is not conducive to walking. Players may provide their own caddie, carry their own bag or provide their own non-motorized push cart. Exception: caddies will be permitted to utilize automotive transportation between the play of two holes.
CONDITIONS/SCHEDULES
The LNGA Championship Office and Championship Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions, provisions, and/or schedules herein. The decision of the Championship Committee in any matter will be final. The LNGA Championship Committee may reject an entry application, revoke an accepted application, expel from the Championship and/or suspend a player from future championships if the player engages in conduct detrimental to the integrity and image of the game of golf. Such conduct may include, but is not limited to damage to the golf course or the player’s equipment; verbal or physical abuse of spectators, rules referees, volunteers, or staff; blatant or excessive profanity; disorderly behavior; failure to abide by the rules; or, any other unbecoming conduct.
DRESS CODE
Contestants and caddies are expected to wear golf appropriate attire at all times when using the practice facilities, golf course or while visiting the clubhouse. No short shorts, shorty skorts/skirts, jeans, cut-offs, tank tops, halter tops, bathing suits or the like are permitted. No metal or ceramic spikes are permitted.
CODE OF CONDUCT
In fairness to the field of competition: At all times during the Championship and on the golf course property, including both the practice round and championship portion of the tournament the following actions by contestant or caddies will be considered violations of the Conduct Code: any abusive language, club throwing, cheating, disrespect of volunteers or other contestants or officials, abuse of the course, leaving the course during the competitive round without permission from a LNGA official, any use of or association with drugs, any abuse of alcohol, not adhering to the dress code during any portion of the tournament, any vandalism, or any other conduct not becoming of an LNGA contestant. The penalties for Conduct Code violations, based on the severity of misconduct, may be any or all of the following: a warning, 1 or 2 stroke penalty, disqualification of the player from the championship, removal from the golf course property, suspension of the player and/or caddie indefinitely from LNGA Championships.
RULES OF GOLF
The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A, as modified by the Local Rules established by the LNGA, will be used. The LNGA Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. Changes in the tournament format caused by force majeure shall be within the sole discretion of the LNGA officials. The decisions of the LNGA Committee in any matter shall be final.
INVITATIONS - CHAMPIONSHIP EXEMPTION CATEGORIES
Players in the following categories will be eligible for exemption into the 2021 Championship.
The Championship Committee reserves the right to revise any of the exemption categories.
Exempt players who wish to participate in the Championship must file an entry prior to the entry deadline and must not exceed the Handicap Index requirement as of the entry date.

EXEMPTIONS BASED ON SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS A limited number of exemptions, based on special considerations and/or written resume submitted to the LNGA, may be granted by the Championship Committee. |
