JTNC First Flight Tournament

Before playing in the event you must be familiar with our 2021 Playing it Safe Tournament Protocols.
Format:
18 holes of individual stroke play.
Start Times:
Sunday, June 27th – 12:05am starting times off Holes #1 & #10
Schedule:
There will be no registration for the tournament. Players should arrive at their designated tee at least 10 minutes prior to their start time, but not until the group in front of them has cleared the teeing area. Once they are done playing their round, they will be asked to immediately leave the golf course.
Drinking Water:
Please bring water to stay hydrated. Waters will be available for the players on the firstand tenth tee only. The starter will wipe down and place multiple water bottles on the starting table for each player to grab prior to their round.
Time of Starting:
Players are responsible for showing up and ready to play on time to their correct tee. The player will be penalized for arriving after their time and disqualified for showing up after 4 minutes 59 seconds after their starting time. The official starting time will be posted at www.jtnc.org.
Range:
The range will be available no more than 30 minutes before the players tee time. Each player will receive 10 minutes to warm up, as the range will be monitored. Once your 10-minute time has passed you will be asked to leave the range and go to the practice putting green for 10 minutes. Balls will be provided both days by Coyote Creek staff.
Rules of Play:
The 2021 USGA Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the JTNC Standard Local Rules. The committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed on the tournament days. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Conditions of the Competition.
Walking:
Players must walk at all times, except as authorized by the Committee. Pull or push carts are perPlayers must walk at all times, except as authorized by the Committee. Caddies are not permitted. Pull or push carts are permitted. Spectator carts are prohibited.
Practice Round:
Practice rounds are available for players Monday through Friday after 1:00pm for a rate of $25. There is also a Youth on Course rate after 3:00 PM. Parents may play with their player during a practice round for the going rate with a $11 cart fee per player. Please call the golf shop at 408-463-1400 in advance to book your practice round time.
Food Service:
Player lunches will be provided at the snack bar from 11:45 AM to 2:00 PM only. Food will be available for purchase at the snack bar from 6:30am until 6:30pm. There is a restaurant patio that is also available to order food from starting at 9:15am.
Dress Code:
All players and Spectators must be properly attired both on the golf course and on the premises of the club. Blue jeans, designer jeans, T-shirts and tank tops are prohibited unless otherwise approved by the host club. Golf shirts must be worn and shorts must be of appropriate length (no jean shorts). This dress code will be used at all JTNC competitions in conjunction with any additional dress code restrictions of the particular golf course involved. A violation of this dress code must be rectified without undue delay or the player will not be allowed to continue play. Spectators violating will be asked to change or leave the club.
Spectators:
Spectators must wear proper attire while at the club. Please see the Dress Code policy above.
The use of electronic devices should be limited to areas where their use will not distract players on the course. Spectators must maintain at least 25 yards from the players and avoid even the appearance of imparting advice or assisting the player in any way. A spectator may approach a player briefly to hand clothing, food or beverages to the player, but should not have prolonged conversations. Please walk ahead of the group you are following and stay in the rough or near the cart paths. Do not delay groups by walking slowly. Spectators must stay off the greens and out of the bunkers at all times. Spectators violating these policies may be asked to leave the course. Spectator carts are prohibited.

Preferred Lies in Bunker: When a player’s ball lies in a bunker, the player may take free relief once by placing the original ball or another ball in and playing it from this relief area:

Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point, and

Must be in the same bunker.

In proceeding under this Local Rule, the player must choose a spot to place the ball and use the procedures under Rule 14.2b(2) and Rule 14.2e.
Ties:
All ties will be determined by USGA recommended method for matching scorecards
Late Appearance:
It is the responsibility of the players to be at their assigned tee at the time that the Committee orders play to begin. The course will not page players to the tee.
Withdrawals and No Shows:
Players who enter a JTNC event and wish to withdraw for any reason MUST notify the JTNC/NCGA staff at the Rules and Competitions department at (831) 625-4653. Failure to notify the JTNC/NCGA will result in a NO SHOW and the player will receive a one-year suspension from all JTNC events for the following calendar year following the infraction. A player who only contacts the course and NOT the JTNC/NCGA will incur the suspension.
Footwear:
The Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-7. Penalty for breach of Local Rule – see Rule 4.3.
