MAPGA Senior Championship 
This is a Player of the Year Points Event for the Senior and Women's Categories

Eligibility:  MAPGA Members (except A-3 and Inactive) and Associates in good standing who have reached the age of 50 as of August 16, 2021.

Start Times: Tee Times starting at approximately 8:00 AM.  More details will be known closer to event date. 

Format: 36 holes of Individual Stroke Play, consisting of two 18 hole stipulated rounds. 

Purse: Divisions for the purse will be broken down pro rata based on participation for  50-59 Men, 60-69  Men, 50-59 Men, Women, 60-69 Women. There must be at least 3 players per group to create one of these four divisions. Players in the 70+ division can play their tees and compete in the 60-69 division.  If there are less than three in an age division, the senior(s) has the option to play in a younger age division or withdraw (no penalty, full refund).

Tees: There will be four sets of tees: 1) Men 50-69.  2) Men 70+ (set at approximately 93% of Men 50-69 tees).  3) Women 50-69.  4) Women 70+ (set at approximately 93% of Women 50-69).

Ties: A tie for first place will be resolved by a sudden-death playoff(s) after play is completed. All other ties will share prize money and Player of the Year Points.

Practice Rounds:  Please call Kenny Clark, PGA (804) 733-4458 to schedule a practice round.  Practice will cost $22. 

Optional Contests: There will be an optional $100.00 Players Pool (30% of Players Pool entrants paid) and an optional $40 skins game.  This $40 counts for skins both rounds ($20 each round). There will be only one skins division. 

Qualifier for National Senior PGA Professional Championship: MAPGA Members only (except A-3 and Inactive) in good standing who have reached the age of 50 as of August 16, 2021. You must register with the National PGA by calling 1-800-474-2776 or clicking HERE.  The deadline is Wednesday, August 11 at 4:00 PM. This is a HARD deadline set by PGA National so you will not be able to get in after the deadline.  This qualifier is completely optional and there is no prize money.  There will be a total of 5 qualifying spots and 5 alternates.  

MAPGA Quarter Century Championship: MAPGA Members and Associates (except A-3 and Inactive) in good standing who have been a member of The PGA for a minimum of 25 years, as of August 16, 2021.  Anyone who is eligible for the Quarter Century Championship will automatically be put into the event.  There is no fee for this. There will be a 50-59 division and 60+ division for prize money.  There will be a nominal purse for each division of $150 for 1st.
