FIELD LIMIT

Field will be limited to 90 qualified entrants. Entries will be accepted according to the time of receipt of entry and entry fee in addition to exempt players a Presidential Invitees.

 

ENTRY DEADLINE

Entry applications, along with the appropriate fee, must be completed or received by the PNGA by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021.

 

REFUND POLICY

Refunds due to cancellation before the close of entry are subject to a $10 service charge. After the close of entry and up until round one pairings are released, refunds for documented and approved medical reasons are subject to a $25 service charge. No refund for any reason will be issued after round one pairings have been released.

 

COURSE YARDAGE

Course yardage is subject to change based on weather/course conditions. Hole-by-hole yardages are posted on the championship portal and will be emailed to players. 

Craddock Yardage: 6,982 yards, par-72

Hankins Yardage: 7,071 yards, par-72

 

PNGA & SILVIES ONSITE REGISTRATION

All contestants must register in person with Silvies Valley Ranch at the Gatehouse upon arrival.

 

To expedite the check-in and registration process, Silvies Valley Ranch requests that all contestants email a picture of themselves (headshot) to nametags.silvies@gmail.com  with their First Name, Last Name. Subject: “Mid-Am Name Tag, Last Name”.

 

All contestants must also register with the PNGA at Silvies Valley Ranch prior to starting round one play. Registration will be located outside the Hideout during the following times:

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 from 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.            

 

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS

Round one and two starting times will be released at least one week prior. Round three starting times will be based on 36-hole scores. Preferred starting time requests will not be accepted. Starting times will be posted on the PNGA website (thepnga.org), on the championship portal and will be emailed to players.

 

SCHEDULE

54-hole stroke play (gross only). In the event of a tie for the championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will be held immediately following play to determine the winner.

PRACTICE ROUNDS

Players may play a practice round on the Craddock course for a discounted rate on Sunday, September 12. Lodging guests will be offered a reduced rate of $50 and non-lodging guests will be offered a rate of $90.

 

Players will receive one complimentary practice round on Monday, September 13 on the Hankins Course.  

 

All practice rounds include complimentary replay rates if available. All practice round starting times are at the discretion of Silvies Valley Ranch staff. Tee times can be made by calling or emailing Head Golf Professional, Dave Lewis at (541) 573-5150 x2 or dave.lewis@silvies.us, beginning on Tuesday, August 31.

 

FOOD SERVICE (NO-HOST)

Breakfast and lunch items will be available at the Hideout at from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each day. The Lodge will also have food service from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.  Breakfast from 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., lunch from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and dinner from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

 

WATER

Silvies Valley Ranch is a plastic-free facility and bottled water will not be available. Coolers will be at multiple locations on the golf course with water to refill reusable bottles provided by the PNGA and Silvies Valley Ranch. A beverage cart will not be on the course during play. 

 

HOSTED LUNCH

Players will receive a hosted BBQ on Tuesday, September 14 between 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the Hideout.

 

METHODS OF PAYMENT

Major credit cards only (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). All players will set-up a master account at the gatehouse tied to an ID badge upon arrival.

 

When players check in at the Gatehouse they will use a credit card to get a name badge to be able to charge all purchases to their account. Silvies Valley Ranch is a cashless and card-less facility once through the front gate. 

 

HOURS OF OPERATION

The Gatehouse will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. each day, the Hideout will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. each day, and the driving range will be open from 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. each day.

 

RANGE BALLS

Warm up range balls will be provided to contestants on the driving range each day from 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

 

CARTS

Players and caddies may ride in a golf cart. Carts are included with each onsite lodging reservation. Carts will be made available to non-lodging guests after the close of the entry for $25 per day on a space available basis.

  

SPECTATOR CARTS

To provide an equal championship platform for all competitors, the use of carts by spectators is not permitted by the PNGA. 

 

CHAMPIONSHIP ACCOMMODATIONS FOR DISABLED SPECTATORS

The PNGA is committed to providing an enjoyable spectator experience for people with disabilities at PNGA championships. Requests from spectators seeking transportation onto the golf course due to a permanent disability, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), should be submitted one week in advance to the PNGA Championship Department. While spectator carts may not always be available at each site, the PNGA will make every effort to accommodate these requests when available.

 

Generally, an ADA covered disability is defined as a “physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of the individual”. See, 42 USCA §12102. Spectators with a “temporary” injury or impairment that is not an ADA disability will not be allowed use of a golf cart under this Policy.

PULL CARTS

Complementary pull carts will be available on a first come first serve basis in the Hideout.

 

CADDIES

Host club caddies will not be available. A player may provide his own caddie.

 

PRIZES
All prizes will be awarded according to 54-hole stroke play scores (gross only).

 

Champion & Runner-up: Crystal award and merchandise credit. Other high finishers will receive merchandise credit. All merchandise credit must be redeemed in the Silvies Valley Ranch Hideout or Gift Shop.

 

Awards will be given to any contestant who scores a hole-in-one or eagle during the championship.

 

AWARDS CEREMONY

An awards ceremony will take place immediately following the completion of the championship on Thursday, September 16.

 

EXEMPTIONS

Champion will receive a lifetime exemption into the PNGA Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship.

GHIN SCORE POSTING

The PNGA will post competition scores for all players to the USGA GHIN System. Scores will be submitted to BC Golf for posting in Canada.

 

STROKE LIMIT POLICY

Players must return a score within 12 strokes of the course rating in at least one of the three rounds. Failure to do so will disqualify the player from entering the PNGA Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship for a minimum of one year.

 

DRESS CODE

Players and caddies must be neat in appearance with respect to personal grooming and clothing while on host club property. The PNGA Dress Code Policy is available at the following link: thepnga.org/championship-home/championship-policies/ and will be provided to all players, along with any additional measures required by the host club, in the Player Memorandum.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

The PNGA expects all contestants, caddies, gallery, and guests to exhibit proper conduct and behavior on the golf course and anywhere on club property during a PNGA championship. Unbecoming conduct or behavior may be grounds for immediate disqualification, at any time, from any PNGA event. The following are some examples of unbecoming conduct or behavior:

 

  • Repeated use of loud, abusive, and/or profane language
  • Throwing and/or breaking equipment (club, ball, etc.) in anger or frustration
  • Damaging host club, PNGA, and/or fellow contestant property
  • Public criticism or verbal abuse of host club, officials, volunteers or staff, and/or PNGA volunteers, staff or fellow contestants
  • Potential endangerment of others
  • Intentionally violating stated club policy
  • Violation of PNGA Dress Code and/or Footwear Policy
  • Other conduct deemed unbecoming

 

The Committee in charge of the competition shall be the sole judge of determining Conduct Code violations.
 

UNOFFICIAL WITHDRAWAL

After the entry deadline and during play of the championship, players must notify the PNGA and state his need to withdraw. Entrants who unofficially withdraw (by not notifying the PNGA or without having sufficient reason) will not be granted entry into any future PNGA Championship for a minimum of two years.

 

PACE OF PLAY POLICY

Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s Stroke Play Pace of Play Policy, which is in effect for all championships

 

LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s 2021 Local Rules and Terms of the Competition, which will be in effect at all championships.

 

PROHIBITED USE OF AUDIO EQUIPMENT

Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player is not allowed to use an electronic device to listen to music or other audio (such as podcasts or the like), including by using speakers, headphones or earbuds. Penalty for breach of Local Rule - see Rule 4.3.

 

LODGING

Limited lodging will be available onsite during the week of the championship. Silvies Valley Ranch has 26 total guest rooms onsite plus a Coach and RV Park with 10 spaces.
 

The below prices are all offered on a per room, per night basis. Silvies Valley Ranch is a no-tipping property. A resort fee of 20% plus 9.5% state and local room tax applies to all room charges. Meals will be handled on an a la carte basis. All food and beverage charges are subject to a resort fee of 20%, no tax and no tipping.
 

The following rooms and rates will be available between September 12 and September 16 on a first come first serve basis. Reservations can be made beginning Wednesday, January 20 by calling 1-800-SILVIES. Players should identify themselves as PNGA Men’s Mid-Amateur participants and provide names of all lodging guests in the reservation.
