FORMAT & SCORING
36-hole Four-Ball Event - The event is played in two 18-hole stipulated rounds using a Four-Ball format.  

  • Gross Scores: Both partners play their own balls and record a gross score for each hole. The team then counts their best gross score on each hole to make up their 18-hole gross score.
  • Net Scores: Both partners play their own balls and record a gross score for each hole.  Golf NB's Tournament Committee will determine the appropriate Net Score for each player and team.

 

STARTING TIMES     

Starting times for the first round will be made available on our website 2 to 3 days prior to the event as well as being emailed to each participant. Final Round starting times will be e-mailed to competitors, posted on the Golf NB website, and posted on the Tournament Information Page once they are prepared.

In general, players can anticipate the following as it pertains to the establishment of pairings and tee times for the event.
 

Round 1:

  • First-round pairings will be available 2-3 days prior to the first round of competition.  
  • Tee times will begin between 7:30 am & 8:00 am with two teams from the same competitions being paired together where possible.
  • Groups will tee off in ten (10) minute intervals.
  • Round 1 tee times will be created randomly based on handicaps. If entered the defending champions will tee-off in the first group.
  • First-round tee time will be e-mailed to competitors, posted on the Golf NB website, and posted on the Tournament Information Page once they are prepared.

 

Round 2:

  • Tee times will begin between 7:30 am & 8:00 am with two teams from the same competitions being paired together where possible.
  • Round 2 tee-times will be established by score with the high scores teeing off first.   
  • Round 2 tee time will be e-mailed to competitors, posted on the Golf NB website, and posted on the Tournament Information Page once they are prepared.

 

ORDER OF PLAY

The order of play for the NB Four-Ball, for day 1 and day 2, will be as follows.

  • Round 1 - Amateur Men, Senior Men's
  • Round 2 - A mixture of Amateur & Senior Teams, with the leaders of both the Men's & Senior Men's Flights teeing off in the final 4 pairings from hole #1.
