Who can be a member of WJGA?
Junior golfers must be 12 years of age by July 12 and can continue to play in the WJGA through age 18, including the summer following high school graduation. Golfers need to be able to walk and carry or push their own clubs, understand the rules of golf, and keep an accurate score.
Do WJGA members play with other golfers who are their own age?
The WJGA has separate divisions for boys and girls in each age group.
16-18 Age Group - 18 Hole Division
14-15 Age Group - 18 Hole Division
12-13 Age Group - 18 Hole Division
12-13 Age Group - 9 Hole Division
Prizes are awarded to the top 3 scorers in each age division.
What is the cost of a WJGA membership?
The cost of a WJGA membership for 2024 will be $50.00 per junior golfer. No additional greens fees will be charged for any events at any of our participating golf courses. One price. $50.00. That's it.
What does the WJGA membership include?
Your membership includes the opportunity to attend two free golf instruction clinics and to play in nine junior golf tournaments on nine different golf courses. It also includes the opportunity to play in the Waterloo Junior Championship at the end of the season. View our full schedule for 2024.
As an additional bonus, your membership also includes the Waterloo Leisure Services Junior Morning Pass, which will allow you to play any of the three Waterloo city golf courses on weekday mornings for no additional greens fee charges. Yes, that means free golf every day of the week for the entire summer!
How do I become a WJGA member?
To join the WJGA, you must create a GolfGenius profile, then register for the 2024 season by paying the $50.00 membership fee. Visit the Registration page to do so.
