Notice to Competitors

(This information supplements the 2020 Optimist Local Rules and Terms of the Competition.

Disregard any course rules on scorecards or posted at club).

 

  1. Tees – Boys 16-18 will play from the course GOLD tee markers

  Boys 14-15 will play from the course BLUE tee markers

 

  1. OB – Defined by the following:
  1. The far side water’s edge of any red penalty area when tied into white stakes,
  2. White stakes placed between holes #10 and 18 apply ONLY to hole #18. (Stakes are movable obstructions while playing #10).

 

  1. Drop Zones for Penalty Areas: Holes 11 and 17 – As an additional option under Rule 17, drop zones have been provided for a ball that lies in or lost in these areas. Location – Hole # 11 approx. 100 yards on right side of fairway and #17 on the 128 yard forward tee pad.

 

  1. Obstructions (Rule16)
  1. Shrubbery surrounding Irrigation Control Boxes are part of the obstruction.
  2. Note – The maintenance path to the right on #3 cart path composed of crushed shell or the like is deemed to be part of the general area.

 

  1. Pace of Play – The allotted time to play a hole is approx. 15 minutes or 4 hours and 30 minutes for a round. See policy posted on the Optimist website or on Tournament Info Board.

 

  1. Scoring Area – Will be in the Masters Ballroom unless otherwise directed to another location.

 

Note: Restroom code is 3-4-5 and located at #3 & #8 Green and #12 Green and #16 Tee.
