41st Trans-Mississippi Four-Ball Championship

ENTRY FEE: $1,600
ENTRY ELIGIBILITY, PROCEDURE & INFORMATION
All tournament applicants (both team members) must be a member of a Trans-Mississippi Member Club or make an annual contribution ($100) to the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association. Entries will be accepted in the order they are received at the discretion of the Trans-Mississippi Four-Ball Committee. Entries are open to male amateur golfers who meet the following criteria:
Championship Division: Team members who have reached their 25th birthday on or before the first round of competition (August 31st, 2021). Teams must have a combined USGA handicap index of 10.0 or less at entry.
Senior Division: Team members who have reached their 55th birthday on or before the first round of competition. Teams must have a combined USGA handicap index of 14.0 or less.
Super Senior Division: Team members who have reached their 65th birthday on or before the first round of competition. Teams must have a combined USGA handicap index of 16.0 or less.
EXEMPTIONS
All exempt players who meet the criteria outlined below are required to register before Wednesday, July 8th at 5:00 PM (Central) to ensure a spot in the field.
- Past Champions in the Championship Division for the previous five Championships;
- Past Champions in the Senior Division for the previous four Championships;
- Past Champion in the Super Senior Division in the previous three Championships;
- Top five finishers (and ties) in the previous year’s Championship Division;
- Top four finishers (and ties) in the previous year’s Senior Division;
- Top three finishers (and ties) in the previous year’s Super Senior Division;
- Competitors making the final field in the previous year’s U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship;
- Trans-Mississippi Golf Association/Host Club Selections.
FORMAT & DIVISIONS
The championship will be contested over 54 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play with three divisions; Championship, Senior and Super Senior. The field will be composed of a total of 70 teams. Each division will play from separate tees and yardages and separate Champions will be recognized.
Field Cut:
At the conclusion of 36 holes the field will be cut to the low 48 teams (and ties), with a pro-rated representation from each division. The pro-rated allocation of teams making the cut from each division will be reflective of the number of teams in each division, relative to the total field size. The determination of total field size, number of teams in each division and pro-rated representation of teams making the cut (before ties) will be announced in conjunction with pairings being posted.
ON-SITE CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION
All competitors must register with Trans-Mississippi Golf Association staff prior to the start of the Championship. Players that do not register may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION. Official tournament registration will be held at Blessings Golf Club on Monday, August 30th from TBD. Competitors who are unable to register on the date and time listed above must contact a TMGA staff member in advance of the Championship.
OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND
Players are limited to one complementary practice round on the designated practice round date. All confirmed competitors should contact the golf shop beginning Tuesday, August 17th at (479-444-6330) for the Blessings Golf Club pro-shop, to schedule a practice round for Monday, August 31st.
PLAYER RECEPTION
No Player Reception due to Covid. More information will be communicated with participants prior to arrival.
STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS
Starting times and pairings for the first and second rounds will be made available no later than Friday, August 27th at 5:00 PM. Copies will also be distributed at registration, in the Trans-Mississippi Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop. Final round starting times and pairings will be available in the evening preceding play at www.trans-miss.org, in the Trans-Mississippi Tournament Office and the Golf Shop. Final round starting times will be re-drawn based on total score following the second round of play after the field is cut.

TRANSPORTATION & CADDIES
Players may walk or ride at their own discretion. Caddies are permitted but are not guaranteed a cart seat. Cart fees for the tournament are included in the entry fee. Carts are limited to two riders at a time, and a maximum of two carts per group. Please note that once players have signed and attested their scorecards with TMGA staff, they are asked to promptly return their cart to the staging area to assist Blessings Golf Club in cart management.
CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES
Clubhouse Facilities will be open on tournament rounds at 7:00 AM. Player’s will be responsible for breakfast and lunch purchased on the practice round day. Breakfast and lunch are provided for all three days of the Championship and are included with each team entry fee for the Championship. Guests may dine with players but will be charged the appropriate cost for the same meal. Acceptable forms of payment in the clubhouse will be distributed to players in advance of the championship. All other food and beverage consumed will be at the competitor’s expense.
PRACTICE FACILITIES
Practice Facilities will be available to all competitors for the duration of the Championship. The practice facilities will open Monday, August 30th at 9:00 AM and throughout each Championship round, beginning one hour prior to the first starting time (8:00 AM). The practice range will close at dusk for maintenance each tournament round.
CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION
The Trans-Mississippi Code of Conduct and Dress Code are in effect throughout the Championship. Violations will be dealt with based on the severity of the misconduct. All competitors should be familiar with all Trans-Mississippi Conditions of Competitions and Policies. PARTNER SUBSTITUTION
Partner substitutions for the Trans-Mississippi Four-Ball Championship are permitted. Substitutions for teams will be permitted prior to the start of competition and individuals must meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association, as well as the specific tournament requirements (i.e., age, USGA Handicap Index, etc.). A player may not select a substitute partner from those players who are already in the Championship field. Players who are on the waitlist are eligible substitutions. WITHDRAWAL & NO SHOW POLICY
If you find you cannot compete in the Championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Trans-Mississippi staff Amanda Kolb at (469) 458-0806 or email at akolb@trans-miss.org. If you do not officially withdraw, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future Trans-Mississippi Championships. Any team withdrawing prior to Wednesday, August 18th at 5:00 PM Central will receive a full refund, less a $50.00 administrative fee. Any withdrawals after the August 18th deadline will not receive a refund unless a spot is filled by a team on the wait list in the same division.
