Welcome to the Couples & Mixed Member Club Championship 2021

 

 

 

 

 

Event Description

Two person teams.

  • Division 1 – 2 person teams, consisting of married/significant others
  • Division 2 – 2 person teams, 1 woman and 1 man, not married/not significant others

 

Division 1 will be playing for the title of Couples Club Champions, Gross & Net

Division 2 will be playing for the title of Mixed Member Champions, Gross & Net

 

Based on number of entries, each Division may be flighted. In all cases, divisions will not be intermixed.  

 

Entry Fee

$80 per couple, includes a $40 food and beverage credit to your account and prize fund/awards.  

 

Format 

Chapman - Both partners hit drives; Each plays the other's ball for the second shots; The best of the second shots is selected.  From there, the partners play alternate shot until the ball is holed out.     

 

In the case where the men’s tee shot is deemed lost and the ball needs to be re-teed, the woman will re-tee from the Cooper tees, with appropriate penalty applied.

 

In the case where the women’s tee shot is deemed lost and the ball needs to be reteed, the man will re-tee from the Blue tees, with appropriate penalty applied.

Handicaps  

The current handicap index will be used. Handicaps will be adjusted for the Chapman format based on USGA guidelines (60% of low + 40% of high).

Gross & Net prizes in both Divisions

 

Scorecards

Teams must exchange their official scorecard with the other team in their foursome prior to the start of play.  Prior to scorecards being turned in, they should be checked for accuracy, and signed by both the scorer and the opposing team.   Golf Genius will also be used during the round for online scoring.   

 

Rules of Play

  • USGA Rules of Golf and Decisions Book will govern.
  • The local rule for Alternative to Stroke and Distance will NOT be in effect for this tournament.
  • If there is a question regarding a ruling, play two balls and the committee will review the action and make a ruling at the end of the round.
  • The Tournament Committee reserves the right to modify, alter or adjust any aspect of this event which they deem to be fair and just.
