BanBury Men’s Monday Night Madness

 

2020 League

 

 

  • We will play a 10-week season.  The first night of league will be Monday June 1st   The last night of league will be on August 3rd.  
  • TRAVEL NIGHT – On June 8th, we will travel to play RedHawk Golf Course in Nampa.
  • HANDICAP – The handicap on your scorecard is your 9 hole handicap. We will adjust these handicaps as the year goes on. 
  • LEAGUE FORMAT - Two Person Team Best Ball Match Play.  Handicaps will be used. Strokes for your handicap will be marked on your scorecard.  We will start play at 5:30pm in April and 6 p.m. in May-August.
  • TEES - White Tees Weeks 1-5  Black Tees Weeks 6-10. Rule of 85. If your handicap index and age equals 85, then you have the option to move up and play the WHITE Tees. Rule of 85 eligible player’s handicaps will be adjusted to their appropriate tees.  
  • TEE TIME START IN 2020 – Due to Covid-19, social distancing and golf carts being restricted to 1 per person, each week we will have random set tee times from 3:30-5:30pm. If you receive a tee time that does not work for you, you have the option to try and reschedule under the 2 conditions:

            A. All 4-players agree to the date and time of the rescheduled match.

            B. The make-up match is played 'before' the originally scheduled date.

 

Players that prefer to ride will be required to have only one person per golf cart. Walkers will be required to maintain a distance of 6 feet from each other.

 

  • SCORING MATCH PLAY -

 

Ten (10) points will be awarded for each match.

            1 point for low NET best ball on each hole

            1 point for the best GROSS team best ball total

            ½ point for halved holes

 

No-shows will be awarded zero points and the other team will automatically

win 1 points for gross and net points are played against par for the course

                        Net birdie or better = 1 point; net par = ½ point; net bogey or more = 0 points.

                        All scores are based on the honor system

 

             Failure to turn in scorecard will result in forfeiture of ALL points earned that night.

 

  • WEEKLY CONTEST – Each week, there will be special weekly contests:
  • Closest to the PIN ( #5 on the front 9 and #16 on the back 9)
  • Longest Putt (#9 on the front 9 and #18 on the back 9)
  • Low Individual Net
  • Low Individual Gross
  • Low Team Best Ball Net

               

  • League Software - We are using Golf Genius Software that we believe everyone will enjoy. The software has a great app to download. Locate Golf Genius in your App Store. You will receive an email with your league ID for this App. This new software will ensure that results, pairings, schedules, finding subs and communication will be better throughout our league. It is important that you and your partner give us an accurate and legible email address at time of registration.

 

  • August 3rd - End of Season Fun Format – 3-Club Team Scramble

 

  • SUBS - Team members are responsible for getting their own subs.  Please call the golf shop (939-3600) as soon as possible with sub name & handicap so cards will be accurate at start of play each night.

 

 

  • WEATHER – In the event there is a question of league play due to weather and/or course conditions the decision to “call” play will be determined by the golf shop staff and your league manager.  If play is “called” every effort will be made to make it up. Teams will not be awarded points for matches they do not play.
