1st Women's Four-Ball Championship

Event Overview 

 

Registration Fee: $490 per team (includes cart fees, range fees, lunches and prizes)

 

Deadline:  Sept. 22 (midnight)

 

Format: 36-hole four-ball stroke play competition, two day event.

 

Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur golfers who (1) were female only at birth (2) are members of a club that belongs to the Pennsylvania Golf Association or an Individual Member of the PAGA and (3) have a USGA Handicap Index of no more than 32.0. Indexes will be updated as of the TBD revision date to determine the starting field. All entries are subject to approval by the Committee. Players need not be members of the same club.

 

Competitors are limited to playing in one division.  The Championship Division will be Gross scores only from approximately 5800 yards.  The Open Division will be scored at Gross and Net from approximately 5300 yards.  Players will choose their division during online entry.  

 

Field: Limited to 54 teams.  

 

Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is permitted and Mandatory at the request of the host club.  

 

Food & Beverage: Lunch will be provided each day of competition and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.

Practice Rounds: Will be available Oct. 5 after 1 p.m. and other dates based on availability.  Please contact the golf shop to schedule a tee time at 717-737-5164 no more than 14 days in advance.  Players are required to take a cart for practice rounds.  Payment options include Visa, MasterCard, Cash or Reciprocal Club Charge.

Practice round fee:  $65 (includes cart)

 

Pairings: Play will be in foursomes. First round results will determine second round pairings. 

 

Start Times: Day one - P.M. Shotgun, Day two - Tee times based on round one finish.

 

Ties: In the event of a tie for the Women's Four-Ball Championship (Gross only, either division), there will be a sudden-death playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. All other ties will be broken by matching scorecards in accordance with USGA guidelines.  

 

Prizes: The Championship Division team with the lowest gross score after 36-holes will be declared the Women's Four-Ball Champions. Additional prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each division.
