Event Overview 

 

Entries Close:  May 31, 2021

 

Registration Fee: $490 per team (includes cart fees, range fees, lunches, and prizes)

 

Format: Chapman format: both players hit their drives on the tee, for the second shot player A hits player B’s ball and player B hits player A’s ball, for the third shot the players select which ball they would like to play and play alternately until the ball is holed.  

 

The scoring will be Gross and Net Stableford scoring. Net competition will be based on a team combined handicap; 60% of lower handicap and 40% of higher handicap. The Course Handicap limit will be 36.

 

Eligibility: Open to teams of one male amateur golfer and one female amateur golfer who are both members of a Member Club or an Individual Member of the Pennsylvania Golf Association. Players need not be members of the same club.

 

Divisions:  Championship (Gross only) and Open (Gross/Net). Teams select their division during entry.
Championship Division yardages will be approximately 6500 for men; 5700 for women. 
Forward Division yardages will be approximately 6000 for men; 5000 for women.

 

Field: Limited to 54 teams (108 players).

 

Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is required for this event, the fee of $35 per person per day is included with your entry fee and includes range balls.

 

Food & Beverage: A lunch will be provided each day of competition from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.

 

Practice Rounds:  Will be available on Sunday, June 13 after 1 p.m. and may also accommodate on available weekdays.  Please call the golf shop at (610) 944-7616 no more than 10 days in advance to schedule a tee time.  All players must take a cart during the practice round.  Payment may be made via Cash or Credit Card.

Practice Round Fee:  $120 and includes cart

 

Pairings: Play will be in foursomes. First round results will determine second round pairings.

 

Start Times: PM Shotgun day one (1 p.m.).  Day two will be tee times starting at 8 a.m. off the 1st tee. The Open Division will go out first followed by the Championship Division.  Tee times on day two will be based on first round results.

 

Ties: In the event of a tie for first place in the Championship gross division, a playoff will be held immediately following the conclusion of play.  All other ties will be decided by USGA method.

 

Prizes: Gross/Net prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each division. Champions and Runners-Up will receive crystal awards.

 

Weather: Should weather delay play beyond the end of the day on Tuesday, June 15, the competition will not be extended and the championship will be shortened to 18 holes.
