INFORMATION

 

Note: Should there be a need to adjust second-round tee times, players will be notified when they return their first-round scorecards.  Be sure to confirm your afternoon starting time before leaving the scoring area.

 

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, August 3rd – Tuesday, August 4th

 

TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

 

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only.  The driving range will open one hour before the first tee time.

 

CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / Men’s Championships / GAM Championship – Course Setup. All yardage is projected and subject to change.

 

DIRECTIONS: Take I-96 to Beech Daley. Go N to 5 Mile Rd. Go W on 5 Mile Rd. to Kinloch. The club is located at the corner of Kinloch and Graham.

 

PARKING: We ask that you carpool with your caddie because parking is limited. Parking will be available on Fox Rd. adjacent to holes #1 & #2, and in the grass lot at the corner of Kinloch and Graham.

 

FOOD: All players will receive at $25 voucher for the snack shop for lunch between rounds on the first day.

CADDIES/CARTS:  All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. PUSH CARTS MAY BE USED IF THE HOST

COURSE ALLOWS THEM. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. LODGING:  A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express – Livonia, 27451 Schoolcraft, Livonia, MI 48150, (734) 744-9888. The rate is $99/night plus taxes and fees.

 

PRACTICE ROUND:  Practice rounds are available on July 26 and August 2, but you must call the pro shop in advance and identify yourself as a GAM Championship Contestant, (313) 531-1240 ext 114.

 

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

 

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff.  Ties for runner-up will be broken by scorecard playoff.

 

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
