Before playing in the event you must be familiar with our 2020 Playing it Safe Tournament Protocols.

 

Format:  36 holes stroke play; 18 holes per day.   

 

Start Times:

Saturday, June 6 – 10:00 a.m. Tee Times starting on Hole #1

Sunday, June 7 – 7:30 a.m. Tee Times starting on Hole #1

 

Schedule

There will be no registration, scoring area or awards ceremony for the tournament. Players should arrive at their designated tee at least 10 minutes prior to their start time, but not until the group in front of them has cleared the teeing area. Once they are done playing their round, they will be asked to immediately leave the golf course.

 

Practice RoundPractice rounds are available for players and family.  Please call the golf shop in advance to book your time.

The junior rate is $17 Monday-Friday, and $27 on Saturday-Sunday. They do accept YOC rates after 1 P.M.  The adults will pay the going rate. 

 

Food Service:  Food will be provided both days for players. A box lunch will be available at the walk-up snack bar window. Lunches will be available to pick up at 10 A.M. both days. The snack bar will ask for the players name to cross off a list.

 

Water:  Waters will be available for the players on the first tee only. The starter will wipe down and place multiple water bottles on the starting table for each player to grab prior to their round. This will be the only time water will be supplied to the players.

 

Range:  The range will be available no more than 30 minutes before the players tee time. Each player will receive 20 minutes to warm up, as the range will be monitored. Once your 20-minute time has passed you will be asked to leave the range. Balls will be provided both days in pyramids on the range.  

 

Please Note: The practice putting green will be closed and not be available to use before the players tee time.

 

Second Round PairingsSecond round pairings will be available after all first round scores are posted.  The pairing will be available at jtnc.org on the contestant information page.

 

Rules of Play:  The 2020 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the JTNC hard card.  The committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed on the tournament days. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition. 

 

Time of StartingPlayers are responsible for showing up and ready to play on time to their correct tee. The player will be penalized for arriving after their time and disqualified for showing up after 4 minutes 59 seconds after their starting time.  The official starting time will be posted at jtnc.org.

 

Late Appearance:  It is the responsibility of the players to be at their assigned tee at the time that the Committee orders play to begin. The course will not page players to the tee. 

 

Walking:  Players must walk at all times, except as authorized by the Committee.  Caddies are not permitted.  Pull or push carts are permitted.  Spectator carts are prohibited. Handicap carts will be available. Individuals must have documentation and be cleared by the JTNC staff. Visit the registration tent to be approved. For questions contact Haley at hwhitbeck@ncga.org.

 

Dress CodeAll players must be properly attired both on the golf course and on the premises of the club. Blue jeans, designer jeans, T-shirts and tank tops are prohibited. Golf shirts must be worn and shorts must be of appropriate length (no jean shorts). This dress code will be used at all JTNC competitions in conjunction with any additional dress code restrictions of the particular golf course involved. A violation of this dress code must be rectified without undue delay or the player will not be allowed to continue play.

 

Spectators:  Spectators must wear proper attire while at the club. Please see the clubs Dress Code policy.  Spectators may wear anything that fits within the club policy.

 

The use of electronic devices should be limited to areas where their use will not distract players on the course. Spectators must maintain at least 25 yards from the players and avoid even the appearance of imparting advice or assisting the player in any way. A spectator may approach a player briefly to hand clothing, food or beverages to the player, but should not have prolonged conversations. Please walk ahead of the group you are following and stay in the rough or near the cart paths. Do not delay groups by walking slowly. Spectators must stay off the greens and out of the bunkers at all times. Spectators violating these policies may be asked to leave the course. Spectator carts are prohibited. Handicap carts will be available for $28. Individuals must have documentation and be cleared by the JTNC staff. Visit the registration tent to be approved.

 

Please Note: We request players to limit spectators to one person, preferably a household member, whenever possible. 

 

Ties:  All ties will be determined by USGA recommended method for matching scorecards.

 

Withdrawals & No ShowsPlayers who enter a JTNC event and wish to withdraw for any reason MUST notify the JTNC/NCGA staff at the Rules and Competitions department at (831) 625-4653. Failure to notify the JTNC/NCGA will result in a NO SHOW and the player will receive a one-year suspension from all JTNC events for the following calendar year following the infraction. A player who only contacts the course and NOT the JTNC/NCGA will incur the suspension.

 

Footwear: The Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-7. Penalty for breach of Local Rule – see Rule 4.3.
