SUPPLEMENTARY LOCAL RULES

 

2020 COVID Guidelines and Policies must be followed.

The 2020 JTNC Rules of Play Card applies and is supplemented by the following local rules:

Tees:  Junior Tour tee markers will be used.  Play will be from where the JTNC tee markers are placed.

Blue: Boys Championship Flight.   White: Boys First Flight & Girls Championship Flight.  Red: Girls First Flight. 

Score Cards:  The Greenhorn Creek score card and its local rules are unofficial and have no status.

 

Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Greens:  Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Green: Model Local Rule F-5 is in effect.

 

Seams of Cut Turf (Sod Seams):  Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule F-7. 

 

Damage by Animals: Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule F-10. 

 

Protection of Young Trees:  Protection of young trees is identified by stakes and/or cables. If such a tree interferes with a player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in Rule 16.1f (No Play Zone in a Abnormal Ground Condition).  If the ball lies in a penalty area and interference to the player’s stance or area of intended swing exists from such a tree, the player must take relief either with penalty under Rule 17.1e or with free relief under Rule 17.1e(2).

 

Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESA’S):  The Elderberry tree defined by blue stakes and or blue lines, are environmentally-sensitive areas and are No Play Zones, free relief must be taken from interference by the no play zone under Rule 16.1f. When a ball is in the no play zone within the Penalty Area, the ball must NOT be played as it lies, and relief must be taken from interference by the no play zone under Rule 17.1e. 

 

Red Penalty Areas:  Mandatory relief, under penalty of one stroke, must be taken from the red penalty area on the right side of Hole #5 fairway.

 

Obstructions:  The Wall on #4; Oven on #5 are immovable obstructions (free relief available); drains, drain risers and liners in bunkers are also immovable obstructions subject to free relief (Rule 16.1) within the bunker. 

 

Bunkers:  Preferred Lies will be allowed in all Bunkers. 

  • When a player’s ball lies in a bunker, the player may take free relief once by placing the original ball or another ball in and playing it from this relief area: 

    • Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point: One club-length from the reference point, but with these limits: 

    • Limits on Location of Relief Area: 

      • Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point, and 

      • Must be in the same bunker. 

 

Out of Bounds:  Defined by inside edge of perimeter fencing and white stakes and lines.  White lines on edge of cart paths define out of bounds.  A ball which crosses a public road and comes to rest beyond that road is out of bounds, even though it may lie on another part of the course. (Model Local Rule A-3). 

 

Drop Areas:  Provided as an additional relief option under Rule 14.3 on hole #6, & #15. 

 

Drinking Water:  Located on holes 4, 8, 11, 17, clubhouse.  Ice chests will also be placed on holes #1 & #10.

 

Restrooms:  Located on holes #5 & #17, and the clubhouse. Code for restrooms : 8191


Pace of Pay:  Maximum playing time today is 4 hours and 53 minutes, 2:27 Front Nine / 2:26 Back Nine.
