NOTICE TO PLAYERS (MATCH PLAY)
The Rules of Golf as approved by the United States Golf Association and The R&A govern play. In addition, the 2020 PNGA Local Rules and Terms of the Competition and the following Local Rules and Conditions are in effect. Local Rules on the Salishan Golf Links scorecard are not automatically in effect for this championship.

The PNGA Match Play Pace of Play Policy is in effect. The pace has been set at 3 hours and 56 minutes
Abnormal Course Conditions: All areas enclosed by a white line are ground under repair. NOTE: Bunker liners are to be treated as an abnormal course condition. If a bunker liner effects the player’s stance or swing, the player has the following option(s).
(1) Free Relief: Playing from Bunker. The player may take free relief under Rule 16.1b, except that: • The nearest point of complete relief and the relief area must be in the bunker. • If there is no such nearest point of complete relief in the bunker, the player may still take this relief by using the point of maximum available relief in the bunker as the reference point.
(2) Penalty Relief: Playing from Outside Bunker (Back-on-the-Line Relief). For one penalty stroke, the player may drop the original ball or another ball (see Rule 14.3) in a relief area based on a reference line going straight back from the hole through the spot of the original ball:
Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Green: Model Local Rule F-5 is in effect. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction is on the line of play and is within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball. Relief under this Local Rule is only allowed when both the ball and the immovable obstruction lie in an area cut to fairway height or less.
Penalty Areas: Defined by a red or yellow line.
Dropping Zones: Added as an extra option under Rule 17.1 for a ball that enters the penalty area right of the green on Hole #9. The ball must enter the penalty area past the blue stake and the player MUST use the nearest of the two dropping zones. Located front right and back right.
Ball Played from Outside Relief Area When Taking Back-on-the-line-Relief: Model Local Rule E-12 is in effect.
Replacement of Broken or Significantly Damaged Club: Model Local Rule G-9 is in effect.
Out of Bounds: Defined by white stakes, lines, boundary fences, Highway 101 (Hole #1 & #2) and Gleneden Beach Loop Drive (right of Hole #18). When white stakes and a white line are both used, the line defines the boundary, while the stakes are placed to show players where the boundary is.
Starting Point Defined: For the purpose of applying Rule 5.3a, the starting point for hole #1 is defined by the stakes and yellow rope. If a match is tied after the final hole, the match is extended one hole at a time until there is a winner, starting on Hole #1 (see Rule 3.2a(4)).
