101st CWGA Championship     The Country Club of Farmington

 

Date:  August 3 & 4, 2020

 

Eligibility: 

 

  • Entry is open to anyone with a handicap index of 23.5 or less as of the entry deadline date.

 

Entry Deadline:  July 26, 2020 at midnight

 

Entry Fee:  $85.00 which includes carts, prizes and lunch for the first round matches only.  Those advancing to subsequent rounds must pay an additional cart fee of $25 for each round.  This will be billed back to member clubs.

 

Schedule of Events/Tournament Description and Format:

 

Because of the need to hold this event over 2 days, the Qualifying round is eliminated and players will be seeded into the Match Play trees based on Handicap Indices as of July 27, 2020.  The low 16 players will be entered in the Championship Flight and the next 16 (minimum of 6) will be entered into the Founders Cup flight.

 

Monday August 3, 2020

 

  • First round matches for both flights.  8:30 Shotgun start.
  • Lunch for all players will be served at 11:30 with a "to go" option for players advancing to second round.
  • Second round matches for both flights will begin at approximately 12:30.  A shotgun start will be used if possible.  Those advancing will pay a $25 cart fee for the second round, billed back to member club accounts.

 

Tuesday August 4, 2020

 

  • Semi-final matches will begin from Hole #1 at 8:00 a.m. starting with the Championship Flight, followed by the Founders Cup flight.  All players must pay a cart fee of $25 which will be billed back to member clubs.
  • Lunch will be available for all players including a "to go" option for players advancing to Final round matches.  Lunch is optional and will be billed back to member clubs. 
  • Final Round Matches will begin at approximately 11:30 for both Flights beginning on Hole #1. Players must pay a second round cart fee of $25 which will be billed back to member clubs.
  • Awards presentation (including beverages and light hors d'oeuvres) will take place at the conclusion of both Matches.  All players and spectators are invited to attend.

 

 

Caddies/Transportation: The cart fee of $25 is required even if a player chooses to walk and bring her own caddie. 

 

Practice Rounds:  Complimentary Practice rounds are available for registered players at the $25 cart fee rate only.  Please call the golf shop at 860.677.1754 to schedule a practice round.

 

Withdrawal/Refund Policy:  

 

  • If it is necessary to cancel, please contact the Major Tournament Chair below.
  • Withdrawals made prior to the closing date are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
  • Withdrawals after the closing date will result in forfeiture of the entire entry fee,
