INFORMATION
TOURNAMENT DATE: Tuesday, Sept. 8 – Wednesday, Sept. 9
TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter. Players should not be on any practice area more than 40 minutes prior to their tee time.
SECOND-ROUND PAIRINGS: Will be available via www.gam.org and via e-mail. Because of single-cart requests, pairings may not be based solely on first-round score.
DIRECTIONS: Take I-94 to Exit 257. Go E to Fred Moore Hwy. Go N to River Rd. The entrance is on the left side.

LODGING: Hampton Inn - Port Huron, (810) 966-900. Rooms are available under the GAM block for $105/night plus taxes and fees.
PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (810) 329-7458. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as a Michigan Senior Net Amateur Contestant. Please be aware availability may be limited over the holiday weekend.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: DMD's that measure distance only are allowed. In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.
FOOD: Players will receive a credit to the Oasis Snack Shop on both days of the tournament.
HANDICAPS: In accordance with the World Handicap System recommendation for stroke play format, all players will be receiving 95% of their course handicap for the competition. Handicap indexes for the competition will be established on the day most administratively practical for the GAM. Handicap indexes and course handicaps will not be altered between rounds.
DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code. Those inappropriately attired may be asked to change clothes before being allowed access to the course. The GAM will adhere to any more specific dress code required by a host facility.
CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. NOTE: Only competitors may ride in a player cart. There will be no caddies or allowed. A maximum of 2 carts per group. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. Players should not be on any practice area more than 40 minutes prior to their tee time.
PLAYOFF: In case of ties, there will be a three-hole playoff (cumulative net) for the overall championship.
WITHDRAWAL: If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
