Patty McGraw-Coatney named to the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2024

Patty has been a prominent figure in Oklahoma golf and a Member of the
Women’s Oklahoma Golf Association for 6 decades. She won the Girls’ Junior
State Championship in 1976. In 1977, Patty won the first of a record nine
Women’s State Amateur Championship titles. She has played on five Fore State
Championship winning Teams. In 2006, Patty was inducted into the Women’s
Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame, now the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame.

The Ponca City native won the Oklahoma Girls’ High School Title in 1977. She
earned All-Big 8 honors twice at Oklahoma State University.

Patty was named Head Coach of the University of Central Oklahoma first women’s
golf team in 2003 and lead the Broncos to a pair of Conference Championships in
her first two years.

Patty McGraw-Coatney is an icon, a leader, a mentor and will become a Member
of the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame at the Induction Ceremony August 5 at the
National Cowboy &Western Heritage Museum Oklahoma City.
