What started off as a chilly morning ended up being a beautiful day for golf. Hosted at Comanche Lakes, The DFW Tour continued on Saturday with the Fall Back Open. The late start, compliments of a heavy frost, allowed the sun to make an appearance and provide some scoring opportunities.

Harry McCain Austin finished ahead of the rest and won the Championship flight on Saturday. Completing the round with two birdies, Austin came away with a score of 73 and ultimately the trophy.

With an amazing score of 35 on the front nine, Sven Bock walked away with a score of 73 which landed him in the top spot of the Palmer Flight. Bock also made three birdies before the turn which quickly put him ahead for the long run. Timothy Nelson finished five back after a 78.

After an interesting playoff with Michael Petty, Kevin Evans of Azle, Texas was crowned the winner of the Hogan flight. Coming in with a score of 80, Evans’ win featured a birdie to finish the first nine, in addition to the decisive one in sudden-death.

The Sarazen flight came down to the wire. David Latimer of Wylie, Texas managed to pull off three birdies for the win despite the tough competition throughout the day. Pars at the last two holes helped Latimer hold off Tom Stockton by a shot and Donovan Ackerson by two.

Jason Jenniges won the Jones Flight as he separated himself from the group with two birdies after firing off a score of 90 on the day.

After a far from perfect front nine, Travis King reigned in the Snead flight with a final score of 94. King trailed at the turn but managed to make up for it on the back nine.
