RE: Event Information – Country Club of Paducah
On behalf of the KGA, thank you for registering for the KGA Amateur Series event at Country Club of Paducah. We trust you will enjoy the event. If you need anything, please make sure to let me or one of our onsite staff know, as it is our goal to ensure you have a great experience. As a reminder, the next KGA Amateur Series event is August 14th at Frankfort Country Club in Frankfort. The registration deadline is August 7th.

Groupings & Starting Times
This will be a shotgun event starting at 8:30am CDT. Groupings can be found on the last few pages of this document. Please Note: All times noted are in Central Daylight Time.
Practice Round
There is not an official practice round for this event. If a player would like to play the course in advance, they can contact the Golf Shop and arrange a time.
Lodging
There are numerous hotels in the area with a variety of rates. To find what best suites your needs look online at

Registration
Please check in at your starting tee 10 minutes before your starting time. At the starting tee, you will receive Notice to Players, Hole Location sheet and any special instructions. Note, there is not a call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time.
Skins Game
There is an optional Skins Game for players. If you wish to participate, the starter will be collecting money on the first tee. The Skins Game will be $10.00.
Food & Beverage:
The Grill Room, Halfway House and other clubhouse facilities will have food and beverage services available. Cash and reciprocal club charges are accepted for payment. CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED FOR FOOD AND BEVERAGE PURCHASES. They are accepted for golf shop sales.
The Grill Room will open at 7:30 a.m. for snacks, coffee, soft drinks, etc. The Halfway House will open at 9:30 a.m. and other restaurants will open as scheduled.
General Information:
The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play. This information sheet, the USGA Rules hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf. Local Rules of the host course do not apply. The KGA Tournament Committee, who is charged with conducting event, shall settle all questions. Reference to the Rules and Appendix I may be found in the 2016-2017 Rules of Golf Book. Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is: 2 Strokes.
Distance-Measuring Devices:
Distance Measuring Devices are allowed for this event.
Pace of Play Guidelines and Procedures:
An appropriate pace of play is important for the enjoyment of the event for everyone. A time par will be established for the event. Groups are expected to play within that time par. More importantly, each group is expected to maintain the pace with the group in front of them.
Player/Caddie Carts:
Golf carts are included in the entry, a maximum of two carts per group is allowed. If a player chooses to walk, pull/push carts are allowed.
Spectator Carts
Spectator carts are not allowed for this event.
Caddies:
Caddies are not permitted for this event.
Practice Range:
The practice range opens one hour before the first starting time, weather permitting. Range balls will be set up at the practice range and are complimentary for competitors.
Withdrawals:
If you need to withdraw any time after 4:00 p.m. on July 14th, please call (217) 714-3271 (Sidney Overman) and leave a message on the voicemail.
Attire & Conduct:
Proper golf attire is required. Blue jeans, designer jeans, tee shirts, and tank tops are prohibited. Shorts must be mid-thigh. Golf shirts with a traditional or mock collar are required. The host club is a “spikeless facility.”
Close of Competition:
The competition shall be deemed to have closed when all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the results.
