Player of the Year Selection: The Richmond Am Tour Players in each flight (Senior and Open Divisions) who are eligible and have earned the most Order of Merit Points (OOMP) in their flight by the last designated Richmond Am Tour local tournament of the 2019 Season will be selected as Player of The Year for their flight.

The following Order Merit Points count toward qualifying:

1.) Only Order of Merit Points earned playing local Richmond Am Tour tournaments will count.

2.) If a player is promoted to a lower handicap flight, their points will be adjusted so they are tied for 2nd place in the new flight.

3.) If a player is promoted to a lower handicap flight after they have their required 7 tournaments in and are currently leading their flight in Order of Merit Points - they will continue to hold that position until their point total is surpassed or they assume the Order of Merit Point lead in their promoted flight in the Player of the Year Standings.

4.) There will be a “Lock In Date” of August 1, 2019, whereas, if a player that is leading in Order of Merit Points, for Player of the Year, is promoted to a lower handicap flight they will, (for POTY purposes only) remain in that flight, unless they assume the lead in their promoted flight before the conclusion of the season.

General Information:

a.) In the unlikely event there is a tie of the Order of Merits Point the following steps will be taken to determine the Player of The Year.
