ELIGIBILITY:

 

Invitational Only:All Ages who have met the qualifying criteria will be INVITED, refer to the HSJGA Handbook. All participants must be HSJGA Members in good standing in the 7-18 age divisions who have passed the HSJGA Rules Quiz. 

 

DO NOT BOOK ANY TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS UNTIL ACCEPTED INTO THE FIELD

ENTRY FEE:

$60.00

Entry includes tee prize, two tournament rounds, dinner banquet prior to Round #1, on course snacks and beverages, lunch following Round #2.

Family and friends are able to attend the banquet but space is limited, all entries will receive a separate sign up form.  Don't miss this great evening with our guest speaker Michelle Wie plus a slide show and our graduating seniors give their farewell speeches.

  7:00 AM- 8:45 AM (Split Tee Start 1 Tee & 10 Tee)

  Lunch provided after Round #2

 

Awards immediately following completion of play

On-course snacks and water will be provided for players and volunteers ONLY.  Lunch will be provided for

players and non-parent volunteers at the completion of Round Two.

PRACTICE ROUND INFORMATION:::

 

Please call the pro shop at (808) 875-7450 and identify yourself as an HSJGA participant. $45 + tax rate applies to participant only.

Please note the new HSJGA policy for Practice Rounds of the HSJGA Handbook:

During practice rounds for any HSJGA tournament, juniors may play only one ball and may not practice chipping or putting when there are players waiting. Violations of this policy will result in the following penalty.

Penalty:          

1st Infraction: Warning

2nd Infraction: 100-point deduction for any subsequent infraction.

3rd Infraction: Disqualification from the tournament.

 

DRIVING RANGE HOURS:



 

6:15 AM - 5:30 PM Daily

Range use is complimentary for tournament players on day of tournament only, otherwise, $15 a bucket.



 

POINTS: 

 

600 -Point System

See HSJGA Handbook regarding the distribution of points.

The Michelle Wie HSJGA Tournament of Champions is a MAJOR and will be awarded based on the 600-point system. Point swill be awarded in the junior’s designated HSJGA division. The points for this tournament count for Player of the Year, AJGA / IJGT Exemptions and other special events as announced.

 

Exception: 13 -14 girls receive points in the 13 -14 and 13 -18 age divisions.

Proper attire is required at all times at all HSJGA tournaments,practice rounds, events and / or functions.  For more information, see page the current HSJGA Handbook online at www.HSJGA.org. The HSJGA Dress Code applies to all spectators as well.

 

SPECTATORS:

 

SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED ONLY FOR THE 13-18 DIVISIONS.



 

THE HSJGA DOES NOT ALLOW SPECTATORS FOR THE 12& UNDER AGE DIVISIONS.

 

All spectators and volunteers must register and receive a wristband to be worn while on the course. The wrist bands are non-transferable. Any spectator or volunteer found without a wristband will be asked to return to the clubhouse immediately to register. Also, the HSJGA Staff, Rules Officials and Directors will give a warning card to anyone in violation of the dress code.

1st offense: Warning card and must sign form

2nd offense: Removal from the golf course

3rd offense: 25-point deduction for junior involved and a one (1)year suspension for spectator from the time of the infraction.

 

All spectators must walk.

 

ADA:

 

Wailea Golf Club allows that spectators may request relief under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)and seek a reasonable accommodation for their disability by the use of a motorized golf cart during all tournament competition for the 2018 season.Spectators are required to submit a request in writing, with a copy of the ADA state authorized handicap card, to the HSJGA office prior to the tournament date they wish a cart for review / approval and determination when allowed by the course. Cart fees may vary per course.Only the person approved for ADA cart privileges may ride in the cart at anytime; no passengers.

BANQUET:

 

A complimentary banquet for all participants and HSJGA Graduating Seniors will occur on Friday, December 6, 2019 at King Kamehameha Golf Club in the  Ballroom. The banquet is complimentary to the players; parents and family members are welcome but must purchase tickets, space is limited. (Aloha Attire is required for the banquet for all attendees- junior boys and men MUST wear long pants and an Aloha shirt while junior girls and ladies must wear appropriate aloha attire.) Dinner and the HSJGA year-end program will begin at 6:30 pm SHARP.
