Welcome to the 2019 Oliver Cup Match
Event Dates: June 26, 27, & 28, 2019
Event Times: 26th 12:00pm Start Time, Practice Round (Dinner After Practice Round), 27th 8:00am Start Time Round #1 and 2:00pm Start Time Round #2, 28th 7:30am Start Time
Event Deadline: June 12, 2019 5pm
Course: Genoa Ranch Course
Entry Fees: $135.00 Includes green fee, cart, range, tee prize, food, and prize fund. All players will be put on waiting list until eligibility is determined, cards will be charged at the time the player is entered into the event.
Eligibility:
- Open to “Senior” members of the NNGA and SNGA.
- Each association shall determine the method of selection from their respective Players’ Points List. The association has the option of choosing a cut-off point that will allow sufficient time to schedule travel, purchase uniforms, etc..
Field Size:
- 12 NNGA – 3 Senior Scratch Players, 3 Senior Net Players, 3 Silver Scratch Players and 3 Silver Net Players.
- 12 SNGA – 3 Senior Scratch Players, 3 Senior Net Players, 3 Silver Scratch Players and 3 Silver Net Players.
Format:
- Three competition match play rounds consisting of 6 scratch players and 6 net players:
o Four-ball (100% course HCP for net, off lowest player in pairing)
o Modified alternate shot where both team members hit from the tee, select the best tee shot, and the team member whose shot was not selected plays the next shot. The team members then alternate shots until the ball is holed. (50% of combined team course HCP, playing off lowest team HCP)
o Singles (100% course HCP for net, off lowest player in match)
o Scoring will be Ryder/Walker Cup format.
- Team win receives one (1) point
- Team halve receives one half (1/2) point.
- Team loss receives zero (0) points
