NOTICE TO PLAYERS

 

2019 USGA RULES OF GOLF AND WMGA HARD CARD LOCAL RULES, CONDITIONS AND GUIDELINES ARE IN EFFECT EXCEPT FOR THE FOLLOWING CLARIFICATION AND MODIFICATIONS: Unless otherwise noted in the 2019 Rules of Golf, the Penalty for Breach of a Local Rule or Condition is Two Strokes.

THE WMGA WILL BE POSTING SCORES DIRECTLY TO GHIN.

 

GENERAL & PRACTICE RANGE

Range opens at 6:45AM, and will be limited to 100 yards or less once groups reach Hole #4 at approximately 8:15AM.  Practice balls complimentary.

DRESS CODE

Denim, halter tops, cargo shorts, flip-flops, golf sandals and similar casual and athletic wear, including tennis whites, are prohibited. Collared shirts and/or shirts with sleeves are required for ladies.

Shorts and skirts should be reasonable in length, falling at least midway between the hip and kneecap.

Hats and caps are to be worn with the brim forward.

 

CELL PHONE POLICY

Use of cell phones, or similar devices is permitted ONLY in your car, never on the golf course or in the clubhouse.

 

TEE MARKERS & HOLE LOCATION SHEETS

Official WMGA Tee Markers: 5,792 yards. Rating – 74.6 Slope – 145

Yardage is calculated to the center of the green.

Hole location sheets will be available on the day of play.

 

CARTS & CADDIES

Please let Tournament Manager, Jen Browne (jbrowne@wmga.com) know if you would like to walk or ride.

All players are required to take a Somerset Hills Country Club caddie.

Met Amateur Caddie Fees: $100 per player per bag inclusive of tip.

 

FORMAT 

18 holes of stroke play. Full Course Handicap. Pairings made by the Committee. Trophy awarded to the low gross winner. Ties for the gross trophy will be decided by an immediate hole-by-hole playoff beginning on the FIRST hole. A player not present for the playoff must forfeit. Ties for all other gross and net prizes will be decided by matching cards. One Ball Condition IS NOT in effect. 

 

FOOD SERVICE

Continental breakfast will be served at 6:30AM. Lunch service will be available at 11:30AM. Breakfast & Lunch charges have been included in the entry fee (not including halfway house & alcoholic beverages).

 

PACE OF PLAY
The maximum time allotted for the completion of 18 holes at Somerset Hills Country Club is 3 hours and 45 minutes.
 

Final decisions on any disputed rulings will be made by the WMGA Competitions Committee.
