FIELD SIZE:  32 players

FORMAT:

• Sunday afternoon: 18-Hole Stroke Play seeding round
• Monday morning:  Match Play round of 32
• Monday afternoon:  Match Play round of 16
• Tuesday morning:  Match Play Quarter-Finals
• Tuesday afternoon:  Match Play Semi-Finals
• Wednesday: 36-Hole Finals

EXEMPT PLAYERS:

• Semi-finalists from the previous years' Championship (4)
• Reigning State Amateur Champion (1)
• Reigning State Mid-Amateur Champion (1)
• Reigning State Senior Amateur Champion (1)
• Champions from the past five years (4)
• Up to 3 junior player exemptions based on resumes reviewed and approved by the State Championship Committee (3)
• Up to 2 State Committee special invitees based on playing resumes (2)
• The remaining 16 players will be split between associations, 8 each, to be determined at the Association's discretion

SEEDS:

• The defending State Match Play Champion will be seeded number 1
• The seeding for all other players will be determined by the results of the 18-Hole stroke play seeding round
• The seeding round is mandatory and will be used to establish seeds 2 through 32.  Entrants not participating in the seeding round will not be eligible for the match play rounds

REFUNDS:  After the established deadline for a state event, players can only receive a refund if there is a waiting list of players and a wait listed player agrees to play.  Cases such as death in the family or serious illness such as hospitalization can be reviewed on a case by case basis
